It's been a while but when I first played craps in a casino, it was a frightening experience. I did get through it and was a few dollars to the good but went from not knowing at all what I was doing or where I was supposed to put money to understanding a little of what was going on. Refinements did begin showing up in my play but my comfort level was much higher after that first time.

It gets easier. The key thing is knowing what you will be on beforehand.

    For example.

    On the comeout roll.

    Pass line
    C & E

Once the point has been established,

    odds on the passline
    bet the come

Win - odds on or off on the comeout roll
Lose - back to the comeout roll
another point - odds on the come

and so on and so forth.
