Have a great time and pace yourself. Don't double up your bets if you get on a losing streak. Remember it well, because you'll remember your first trip to LV forever. My first time there I was 20 and I left town with two pennies and three cigarettes and I still look back at it with fond memories. Have a great time and welcome to VMB.:peace:

I would recommend going downtown for half a day. The tables are cheaper and booze is more free flowing. Some would even say the people are more fun. I think you will get a lot for your money downtown if you are on a $500 budget.

I would also recommend taking one night to just walk up and down the strip and pop in and out of different casinos. That's fun, too.

Alright, I have gambled quite a bit so far so I don't need help with that. (Mostly BJ) Just wondering where to go, what to do, stuff like that... Best way to get free drinks gambling?

Fountains at Bellagio - cooler than you think. Sirens of TI show. Volcano eruption at the Mirage.

I think that drinks are still free for anyone sitting in the Bellagio sportsbook? Even if you're not betting.

Yes! $1 beer and margaritas. Doesn't Bills have cheap drinks too? Also sign up for players card and use it to get discounts Nd points to use on the next trip...because there is always a next trip.

Good shoes - lots of walking.
Tell the cab from airport NO tunnel
Deuce bus is cheap but slow at times
Downtown (Fremont st) for lower limits, cheap drinks and older Vegas feel
Don't fall for the guys/gals on the street saying they will get you in a club VIP...you will still have to wait in line
Use coupons from the fun books

As long as you are betting drinks are "free", sit at slots close to where the cocktail waitresses go in and out with drinks, they might hit you up first.

    Enjoy yourself

Bring some very comfortable shoes - you're going to be doing a ton of walking.

It's easy to go crazy on your first night but unless you want to be walking around the next day nursing a hangover (and missing Vegas) PACE YOURSELF. That was my biggest mistake the first time I went there - I went crazy and got wasted the first night and was so hung over the next day that I wasted it nursing a hangover. I still do that from time to time but have learned that it's a marathon and not a race. Yeah I know it sounds very old manish, but then again you do want to maximize your experience

My first trip when I was 21 is getting a little hazy, but my best advice is to learn blackjack basic strategy, find a low limit table (Bill's, Casino Royale or Downtown), and get wasted. My best advice is to get as drunk as you can, have fun, and try not to lose all your money on the first day (which is surprisingly easy to do...).

The most general answer is, any kind of drinks you want. At lower-level places they're likely to only offer well liquor and cheaper beer, as compared to a place like Aria where it's easy to order the top-shelf stuff, and I'd stay away from anything too complicated or difficult to drink (I love martinis, but if I tried to have one at a craps table it would quickly wind up on the floor), but that's about it.

Stop by Casino Royale and hit the promo slots, never win much except buy one get one free beer, so 2 beers for a buck, I thinks the same perk if you sign up for their players card so make that 4 beers for 2 bucks  Stage Door behind Bills across from Ballys $1 Michs or $2 shots all the time 24/7
