I tried to search but kept getting an error.

My question is, does Fremont still do First Friday?

Didn't think about it when I booked our October trip, but I remember last time we came. First Friday was a so crowded it was kind of a pain to get around.

Wondering if we're going to have to deal with it again this year?

I think it's been gone from Fremont East for awhile. It moved up to just the Arts District some time ago, and we heard nothing about it when downtown the first Friday of March. May be gone entirely.

As posted it has moved over to the art district.

I'm never too worried about walking around Fremont and a couple of blocks either N or S, but I don't think I'd want to walk all the way to Charleston, especially at night.

Looks like they still have something on East Fremont from the above link. Sure didn't in March. There was a lot of set up going on for some "corporate challenge" week-long event hosted by Zappos, but not the old First Friday art and food stuff. Used to be sort of fun, a real change of pace. We never ventured to the Arts District part, but would go over to East Fremont. Maybe they just took a winter break? It sure used to fill up East Fremont with the young folk later in the night. It was "in" for them to all descend on it on First Friday.

Just came back from a Downtown stay over April First Friday. Nothing seemed to be happening Downtown. Not even the shuttle stop. I wanted to at least grab the shuttle to see what it was all about, but I wasn't interested in standing around in front of El Cortez for an hour, so I guess I could have missed it? Maybe it started later than stated on the website? But, no extra commotion Downtown.
