I certainly admire their perseverance. The easy (perhaps even prudent) move would have been to pack up the tent. But at the same time, I very much hope everyone affected by their negligence is fairly compensated.

Best of luck to them. They're going to need it. (I'm afraid they'll never get my business.)

One of the comments to the article said something that is probably true.

The owner will likely be on top of any food safety issues.

I don't know. From what I remember hearing about this on the FiveHundy podcast was that they have had food safety issues over the past few years. If they did not fix up after the first one opened their eyes to problems, why would you think they would change now?

Way too many dining options to take a chance on this. No way.

Agree plus my girlfriend got food poisoning the only time we tried this restaurant. Bad luck maybe, but after what happened now I'm for sure never returning.

I've been to the one on Paradise and the long-closed one at the Plaza with no issues. I did, however, have a screaming case of "Franco's Revenge" after an evening at a tapas bar in Chicago. To be fair, it could have just as easily have been what I had for lunch or breakfast that day.

I had what I think was mild food-poisoning once from a frozen, seafood-newberg dinner. To this day I cringe when I see the name in the frozen aisle or at a buffet and I just had a bad case of the trots, followed by severe stomach cramps for a day or so... nothing like what these poor folks appear to have endured. That said, I've had many, many good meals at the Firefly, as have thousands and thousands of others and I'll try the new place.

I'm in the "no way" camp. From what I've read, their problems were systemic, which goes to the top.

I was excited to try out this place but will now stay very far away. Like someone already said, way too many other options to eat

I agree that there are way too many interesting choices in vegas to return to firefly.

Article in today's Sun states Firefly has to close their Sahara location for lunch Mon-Fri and lay off some folks due to a slow-down in business.
