To be that careless in another location (when you have already been closed down once for harming your customers) is unforgiveable. Their license to operate a food establishment should be revoked and this location should be shuttered immediately.

Note to self: Never trust a restaurant named after an insect.

    Stupidity or arrogance?

I was actually kinda rooting for them after the salmonella outbreak.

Ewwww, I've never had any desire to eat there and never will. There are too many good restaurants in Las Vegas to bother with places like this.

I really don't like the idea of the immediate reinspection and then being able to post an "A". You know those improved conditions will last only as long as the inspector is onsite. They should be required to prominently display their 38 demerits (which I guess is a passing "C" grade?) for at least a year.

Yup, I/family own a few restaurants in the dc area with another one opening. Apparently this owner is leaving everything up to his employees/chef including regulating the food handling. He should know what is going on in the back of the house. But the chef/kitchen staff should also be responsible.

The chef or kitchen head oversees everything and should do the ordering and inventory. Apparently this owner is oblivious to everything.

The restaurant business is very tough and he had a second chance and screwed it up again!!! He is jeopardizing ppls lives with what is going on in the kitchen.

They should close them all down. They have a history of not being clean. I would love to see John Simmons never run a food operation again. I was part of that lawsuit for salmonella poisoning. It led to over a week of being sick, a ruined vacation for half my family, an unbelievably uncomfortable 5 hour flight back. We went through hours of documenting the incident with the Southern Nevada Health District, doctors, lawyers in the lawsuit we joined with 245 others affected. And you know what our settlement ended up being for all of that? $140. This guy gets away with the minimum insurance, knowing he's putting people at risk. LV should never ever let him operate again.

    But that's JMHO.

I completely agree. Those restaurants should be shut down. Shame on LV for supporting them.

Management just closed the Henderson location on Eastern. The Paradise and Sahara locations continue to operate and they opened up a Tacos and Beer joint at their previous Paradise location, so they're still operating three-(3) restaurants.

If more people are aware and people stop going there they will be shut down. I don't know too many businesses that can survive on no clientele.
