The last time I stayed in MGM Grand's standard room, there were portraits of movie stars on the walls (my room had Kathrine Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Patrick Stewart). The lobby are on each floor at the center of the X had larger portraits.

I rather liked it. I wonder if they're including them in the newly remodeled rooms of if they're getting rid of all those pictures - there's got to be several thousand of them.

There's this velvety head board (what is the material called?) that imperial palace deluxe room and excalibur contemporary room have. I love it!

Do any other hotels have this type of soft velvet-like cloth headboard? The look of it is soothing.

Those cabana suites look mighty nice but what's with the lime green in downtown rooms?

The D and Golden Gate are bringing in the reds I see.
