We mostly stay at Treasure Island and usually hit the Grand Lux a couple of times each trip.

My wife and I make it a point to have breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi at least once per trip.

Since Palazzo has been our home base for the last couple of years, the "go-to" places tend to be in that complex. Delmonico, Grimaldi's, Bouchon and especially Morels.

Fiamma (MGM Grand) -- Quietly classy. Dark, cozy ambience. Best carpaccio anywhere. And the raviolini.

Mesa Grill (Caesars) -- Tiger shrimp, Yucatan chicken skewers you won't believe. Best breadbasket.

Battista's Hole in the Wall (behind Flamingo) -- Old red tablecloth, celeb photos, spaghetti and meatballs, and Teddy playing a few bars of ``New York, New York" on the accordion.

Giada's (Cromwell) -- Quirky lunch -- pesto grilled-cheese sandwich and sangria. And sometimes a big smile from Giada herself.

Petrossian (Bellagio) -- Martini with bleu-cheese olives, anything from the bar menu, and let the pianist and the passing crowd entertain you for a couple hours.

I have to ask you all.......while we love Mon Ami Gabi.....and so many posted they did, we stopped going because the tables are so close together that I feel

the last few times we have eaten there, all the guests are basically on top of each other and you can hear each other's conversations.

Does anyone else feel that way?

p.s. I love this thread. Getting so many great ideas. We are off to Vegas on Sunday for a few days.

Because my wife and I stay downtown (frugal), our favorite go-to breakfast is Golden Nugget Buffet, $15 BOGO with LVA coupon, omelets to order, giant glasses of real OJ, very good coffee, excellent service. Favorite Mexican is Tacos El Gordo on Las Vegas Boulevard north of the Encore. OMG GOOD!!! Must -have is the Adobada tacos. Late night snack is POP-UP Pizza at the Plaza. Very tasty, not expensive, never busy. It really is worth the trip. Favorite moderately priced buffet is a toss-up between Spice Market at P.H. (stuffed sole), and the Carnival World Buffet (LVA 50% off coupon) at the Rio, which has an excellent Asian selection. Good steak joints all over Las Vegas, have only been to Hugo's Cellar, which was A++.

Exactly. Have you ever been to a breakfast cafe in Europe? Not entirely dissimilar to what you experience at Mon Ami Gabi.

That's funny! My sister and I were just talking about that today. She was there 2 weeks ago and said they were awesome. We have a brand new GL in Austin, I'm taking the girls in my office tomorrow....I see spring rolls in my future.

    Happy birthday to me!

A hot dog from the hot dog cart at Southpoint or Suncoast (although I think one of those stopped selling them from the cart - can't remember which).
Breakfast at the bar in the Grand Cafe at Red Rock - chatting with the bartender, having the waffle platter, a bloody mary and coffee... great breakfast to start the day - usually do this on Sunday before the football games kick off.
Omelet (usually veggies - no spinach - with jalapeƱos) at the Red Rock breakfast buffet, along with all their good fruit and coffee. 25% off the $6.99 price when paying with points (Platinum level). Can't get a comparable breakfast for only $5.25 in points.

If you don't need to be outside on the Patio at Mon Ami, ask for the pavilion, we always find very comfortable seating not on top of each other.
