    Their website doesn't say much.
We have never been there, so we would be new sign ups.

    Anyone done this promo lately?

    Thanks.

    How the promotion works:

Its only open to new members.

You go to the Trop Plus booth and signup. You'll probably get some coupons, maybe a small gift item as well.

Then you go out and play in the casino.

ON THE FIRST DAY, after you have racked up so much in losings you can go back to the booth to activate this promotion.

For how much you have lost, up to a maximum of $200, they will give you half of that back as free play on your slot club card (works the same way as free play at other casinos that put it on your card, IE: Identity, MLife, Grazie...).
    - So if you lost $200 they would put $100 in free play on your card.
    - If you lost $150 they would put $75 in free play on your card.
    - If you lost $385.22 they would put $100 in free play on your card because the max they will reimburse is $200

The remainder of your freeplay balance (the other half of the money) will appear on your card on the 3rd of the NEXT month. It will stay there for you to play for up to 12 months.

So if on August 8th you go and lose $200 in the casino they will give you $100 right away and then on September 3rd the remaining $100 will appear on your card. The freeplay will stay on your card until September 2014.

If your trip happens to be near the end of the month the freeplay will be there if you are still in town on the third. IE: you arrive in Las Vegas on July 29th for a week. You go in to Tropicana on the 30th and lose $200. They will give you $100 right then and then if you come back near the end of your trip on the 3rd of August the remaining $100 will be there as well.

I just did it on July 1 and my understanding was that the second installment of free play isn't added to your account until 30 days after the first. Also, the losses are categorized in groups of $20 or so. For instance, if you lost $140-159, you get $70/70 in free play. If you lose $160-179, you get $80/80. It's not exact dollar-for-dollar.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: I don't believe the free play is automatically added to your card. After you cease playing (or prior to midnight on the day you sign up), you need to swipe your card at a kiosk and select the offer. Once you do that, the initial installment of free play is added to your card.

I was told the free play cannot be used on any progressive machines. I don't know of any other restrictions on how it can be used. I am saving all of my free play for my next trip, but the guy behind the Player's Club counter gave me instructions on how to access it, which involves inputting a PIN# and "downloading" credits onto the machine of your choice.

I did not receive any gifts, although the kiosk also gave me a $10 table game match play coupon after I'd completed playing.

Thanks for that; I thought it was still the "half today, a quarter tomorrow, and a quarter the day after".

The way it is now makes it much easier; I don't need to go there three days in a row now.

Aren't you staying downtown? Make sure to do the Plaza $100 FreePlay promo. I'll take advantage of it for sure in a few days.

I did this promotion in April.
I lost my $200 after being up $500 thanks to 2 quick fire quads.

After I was finished I swiped my card at the kiosk and $50 free play was added to my card.(normal free play rules apply, run through a machine once then its yours to collect).

I came back the next day to swipe and another $50 free play is added to my card.

On the 3rd day I swiped and $100 free play was added to my card.

Be aware if you fail to collect your free play the promotion ends.
For example if fail to collect the $50 on the 2nd day you cannot go back on the 3rd day for the $100.

    Smo,
Your link to the Plaza promotion does not work.
    Can you direct me further?
I checked the Plaza site and don't find that promotion.

    Thanks.

I've got three days downtown, then four nights at Rio, which for me is pretty much "strip". I've had a Plaza card for a few years, so I can't do the freeplay there. But I am stopping by Cosmo at some point.

This is how it was in late May as well. They've changed the way the distribution works several times I believe. IIRC Auggie's post is how it was originally. The post above is how it was as recently as late May. M_LIS has said to have done it July 1, but didn't say whether it was 1,2 or 3 installments.

So basically you can refunded up to $200, but what increments its distributed back to you, and when those distributions happen seems to change frequently.

It has changed then because I just did it a couple weeks ago and it was exactly how M_ILIS described...half right away and the other half in 30 days. To nitpick its not necessarily half depending on what you lose as M_ILIS explained.

I played VP in the high limit room. Lost 200 quick, got the 100 fp and lost that quick. Was pissed the plan didn't work so chased it with 200 more of my own money and won back the original 200 and left even. Plus I'll have 100 more in fp next time I go.

By the way you also get $10 in table matchplay. I dunno if its a separate new player promo or part of this $200 thing or just something for anyone. But on the kiosk you also print that matchplay out. I took it to roulette and just kept letting it ride on a color and got it up to 120 or something then lost it.

If you are on a phone, it may not display pdf files correctly. Try the link on a pc, laptop, or a good touchpad.

    Try this: http://www.plazahotelcasino.com/casino/casino_promotions

    trop

I can not explain and neither could the slot club. But I know for a fact that april this year I did it while there for a few nights. I lost 300 quickly then swiped my card and got 100 the next day I got another 100. I was back June 27 with slot tourney offer free room and food, I am not a big gambler but play a lot. the new trop is very comfy for me. try for a close room some rooms are a long walk.
