I am curious if this is standard practice. When I booked my flight to Vegas, Expedia had in red letters "One seat left at this price" which is what prompted me to buy it right then. Well, same flights and the price is the same which would indicate that there were more seats at that price. Is it common for expedia or the airlines to do this to generate sales? I got a good price so not complaining, but it is making me wonder about booking my return flight. Several have the X number of seats at this price dialog

were the flights & prices the same on expedia or just somewhere else?? Usually the airlines give them so many at a set price then go to a different price point when those are sold out.

I have never ever had a problem with expedia and always do my bookings through them but have never used them for airfare.

Yes, it's the same on both Expedia and delta. Only difference is Expedia would not let me pick my seats and I was able to log into delta and do just that (gotta get an exit row)

Expedia is probably only allotted a certain number of seats. Thats why I usually check on travel sites and double check for any price difference or options on the main airline website as well.

I've also never had any problems with Expedia. Maybe it was a bug of some kind?

Expedia is solid. I used to book all my trips via Expedia.
They have messed up a few times but always made right.

However, I always check other sites as well. Prices always vary.

I stopped using expedia bc the reward system blows

I dislike Expedia cuz their air times blow if trying to book a package.

They always have late arrival and rooster time departures.
