I'm booked for a room via MyVegas this Friday at Excalibur, but have a few questions:

    - Did Widescreen Rooms become Contemporary Rooms?
    - Is there any room with 2 beds better than a Deluxe room?
    - They're offering a $7 upgrade to deluxe, which seems ok since the price difference is about $9, and would save me from wondering if I should do a tip trick...

    thoughts?

    thanks in advance!

I can't fully answer your question but we are staying there in April and i would upgrade to contemporary. I have seen recent pics of those rooms and they are decent, not sure what the deluxe look like. I want tower 2 though.

The deluxe is a slightly larger standard room, the contemporary is a fully remodelled standard room, and the deluxe contemporary is a larger contemporary.

I HIGHLY recommend the contemporary over the standard...night and day difference!!

Yes, get the upgrade to contemporary. We just stayed there via myVegas and upgraded to contemporary deluxe, and even these rooms are already showing signs of wear and tear. I still found them acceptable and the view of NYNY was great. The rooms were comped so it's hard to complain too much.

Thanks! I will "splurge" for the deluxe upgrade, and ask for a contemporary at checkin.

Has anybody ever stayed in Excalibur's Presidential suite? I didn't know they had one, but their gold m-life moment says it includes a 2-night stay in the presidential suite.

I have stayed at the EX twice this year and have stayed in both towers and really beleive that there is not much difference in the two. I think my room in tower 2 had a different headboard and that the heat/ac unit had a slightly decorative cover on it and thats about it other than that basically same room. I think lots of people hear tower 2 is better and just believe what they hear.

I've stayed in both Tower 1 and 2 and while rooms in T2 are nicer, it's not mind shattering better :). The bed was definitely better in T2.

My one-bedroom suite, in tower two was great: it had two bathrooms, a Jacuzzi and many amenities.
