EWR will get new service to CVG and that would be best for LAS flights among the cities that will get service. Flights will be as low as $39 o/w and the carrier is Allegiant.

You would have to book each leg as two one way trips, EWR-CVG-LAS, then reverse. Since Allegiant offers point to point service, if you missed the CVG-LAS flight due to a delay out of Newark, how would Allegiant handle that?

The Allegiant service to EWR is really more about letting people from Cincinnati and North Carolina fly to the New York metro area than anyone from the New York metro area flying elsewhere.

IIRC, Allegiant does not do stop-over-and-change-planes ticketing, nor do they interline baggage with other airlines. Somebody please correct me if this has changed.

They wouldn't have any interest in your dilema. This is part of their concept as a non-stop only airline. In addition, they have no reciprocal agreements with other airlines for missed/delayed or cancelled flights. You're on your own.
