    My Trip Report

Well today was one of those days. Hadn't planned to hit the casino but got a call from a buddy who wanted to run up. I only took $300 figuring I either get lucky or make it a short day. Walked in to find the double deck blackjack table open. $25 min $1000 max. When I first sat down I won the first 7 hands and built a nice little bankroll. If I had a 14 I drew a 7, every double made 21 I was loving it. After a few hours I was about ready to roll when we got another shoe on fire. I won the first 3 hands and decided to just take a shot and bet table max $1k. Its a pitch game so I had not seen my hand yet and the dealer showed a queen. Asked her to check before I looked at my hand and she did not have blackjack. I slowly looked at the first card and saw the ace. Pitboss just laughs and says you know you got it so just flip it. Shure as shit the other card is a king, black fucking jack. Finished out the shoe at $25 a hand, tossed the dealer $100 and on the color up I had $5100. I was ecstatic, if every day could be this good.

My best gaming day ever was technically the gaming day of my 50th birthday last August. It was past midnight but before 6 am. I went down after midnight with about $400 and returned to my room around 5 am with more than $21k, all with wins from DSTP DDB. I kept getting so many handpays (the biggest came from being dealt 4 aces with a small multiplier playing 10 hands and just sitting back to see which hands would get a kicker) that security and another employee hung in the distance figuring another hand pay would be coming soon. It was surreal. The first check I wrote the next morning was to my church. I stuck it in an envelop and gave it to a person at the counter in the Diamond/Seven Stars check in area at Caesars to mail for me. She smiled back when she saw the addressee and I said yeah, I had a truly "blessed" night so figured I would send some to my church. In 23 years of going to Vegas, it was my most winning night and trip ever. I also played so much during that trip that more than 2k in charges were comped off. And, aside from the winnings, it was my best trip to Vegas ever as my eldest brother and dear friends were with me. The minor downside is that trip is now the standard by which all my future Vegas trips will be measured though win or lose, I just love Vegas so always have a good time no matter what.

I wish my local casino had a max higher than 1k, not because I wanted to bet more just because I was averaging 200 a hand once I got up and they had a pit boss standing and watching my table the entire time. They are kind of a small time casino so 500 chips are as big as they have and it took almost 25 minutes to cash out. Three different people counted it along with the machine twice.

I was at the Mirage playing $25 6-deck BJ when I won 16 hands in a row. Some of the hands were BJs, doubles, and splits. I ended up winning over 4k at that table after being down a few hundred. I up my bet by $25 for every bet after my first two wins.

I don't count as honestly I gamble for fun and like to drink. But I up my bets on feeling. On double deck it seems if your hot your hot, if your not your not. So when it was hot my average was probably 200 a hand, when it was cold 50 a hand. I took a few big shots most worked out. I did have a 400 hand that I doubled and the dealer drew out to 21 off a hard 16, of course I had 20. But clearly I won more than I lost.
