And how about the views? I read it can be the Strip, the pool or downtown. Is it easy to get one facing the Strip?

I would imagine due to the location of encore next to wynn. If you want a strip view you need to stay at wynn as wynn essentially blocks the encores view of the strip. I'm sure you can call win and ask about reserving a strip view room.

I had a room at the Encore where you can see all the way to Cosmo. Palazzo is more of of blocker then the Wynn but i guess it depends if you get a room in the east or west side of the building. That being said i almost always stay in room facing north since some of the rooms facing south have noise issues from the nightclubs. I think the stripview are pretty similar in my experience but even at the Wynn i prefer the golfcourse view. If i want a stripview i stay at Cosmo.

I've stayed at both and have to say Encore wins IMO. At Wynn I had a golf course view, and Encore was more of a "Downtown" view. Although I must say, if views are your thing you'd be much better served staying somewhere like Cosmo or Bellagio. That aside, both properties are top notch. Maybe it was just the time of year, but Wynn seemed way busier to me than Encore. The casino at Encore always seemed dead to me, at all hours. I didn't really mind, but possibly something to consider. I just really like the room layout at Encore a lot better...feels like more of a suite to me, vs Wynn which just seemed like a really big room with lots of wasted space. Hope that helps!

This is pretty much correct and the observation about the casino is pretty much spot on. Its not the time of the year its just that its always like that. Wynn is really busy and the casino is a lot bigger while Encore is more quiet.

Thanks all of you for the tips. Actually the view isn't that important, just a plus I'm considering. It's been a long time I wanted to try one of those hotels, and after what I read here it seems it'll be Encore.

I much prefer Wynn. Better Casino, more convenient for accessing the strip and I prefer the rooms (although the regular ones are smaller).

I also find Encore very noisy, especially on weekends when the clubs are going full blast. A golf course view at the tower suites end of Wynn for me.

I had a strip view facing TI at Encore a few years ago. It was a nice view. I recently stayed at Wynn and had a golf course view, which I liked but prefer a strip view. My friend had a strip view at Wynn during this same last trip and had his room moved because of noise from the clubs.

I have stayed at Wynn 3 times and Encore once. From what I remember I preferred the Encore room. I liked the layout and the colors. I also like having a little bit of a walk at the end of the night to go back to my room. But I will say that on my last trip the club people at Encore annoyed me. I'm getting old, lol.

Have been to the Encore and Wynn 4 times in the last two years, and most recently (Encore) in May. The Encore for us was the quieter of the two, never had any noise issues. The security personnel around especially in the casino and near the elevators. Elegance without Pretension is who we like to describe Wynncore. Certainly the Wynn has more food choices and the casino is bigger. We liked the intimacy of the Encore and the slots were very kind to us :)

I like the feel of Encore's casino, small and intimate. The smoke is not too bad, and cocktail service is pretty good. The ouside patios of Eastside lounge are a hidden gem of a place to have a drink.
