After a few times on the Wynn side, we always stay at Encore just because we like the room layout so much better. We go back and forth to Wynn and Encore to gamble and eat. We get comp'd a room at Encore for 5 nights and usually a "little" F&B but don't play enough to get a TS room. I'm thinking about just paying for the TS room and using our comps for F&B. I can get the TS room for about $1700/5 nights and we usually pay about $1500 for F&B and incidentals when we get a reg room so I figure the cost is about a wash or a few hundred more "if" they comp all the food but I'm guessing they don't use $300 as a cost basis for a room when they comp it....probably much lower. So my question for any of you that have stayed in both; is the upgrade to a TS room worth it? What I like about it is the separate check-in, 2 a day maid service, press your clothes each day, access to the TS pool (although we really like the Encore Euro pool too), and no resort fee. You get an in room breakfast credit but honestly, I'm not sure how often we'd use it. We usually do coffee from the lobby bar and maybe some light snack and then get an early lunch at the pool. On our comp'd reg room, they don't charge us a resort fee but any service we want like WI-FI or to go to the gym is charged separately and we would use WI-FI and the gym so that ads to the reg room bill.

The only thing I don't know is what their coast basis is for a reg room when they comp it on the casino side in order to get a comparison to how much F&B would be picked up. If they only ended up picking up about $500 in F&B, then the difference would be significantly higher....like $1k higher. If that was the case, I'd probably be better off to just stay w/ the reg room.

    Thoughts?

Yea...I'm at the A-4 weeks and over thinking everything because it's fun....LOL

I'd say the only other advantage is that, if you're a sucker for a Strip view, the TS room probably affords a better view down the Strip if you're in a room facing south.......you still do have a view in the regular rooms, but are also sort of looking into the Wynn tower as well. Now, if you're in a north facing room, it really doesn't matter. The only other advantage I see is that your room will be closer to the elevators, and that separate check area is pretty nice.

But for $60 more per night (given that there's no resort fee) than a regular room? I dunno. Of course, I think they charge like $30-35 for a higher floor anyway, so if you can get that in the Tower Suite and are only paying the $60 more, can see how it might be worth trying.

I don't know what the comp value is on any room so I can't be of much help. But I will say that in my experience (based on the back end comps I've received when staying at Tower vs. Resort) it SEEMS like the difference is probably about $100/night. Obviously, don't quote me on this...

Since I seldom use the pool, almost always either forget to, or just plain don't, take advantage of the free breakfast and their limo almost always drops me off at the TS check in anyway, it's hard for me to justify the premium. But not having to iron anything - especially for this terrible packer - is so nice.

I had a helluva run there this spring. Hope you find the same luck, Dino!
