    My Trip Report

We left Tampa on time (6am) but had to wait for the plane before us to leave the gate in Vegas. We deplaned around 8:15am. Played my customary WOF game. Cashed out even. Headed to Thrifty to pick up rental.
Stopped at the Las Vegas sign to take a pic and wave to our son. He was logged on to the Earthcam website. We then stopped by MGM to visit the Lion Share Progressive. There was one person on the machine when I got there and only had to wait 15-20 minutes. No luck for me. Decided to walk over to NYNY and played Top Dollar and won 240.00. Then we decided to check out the Linq. We parked at the Quad self park which was a little confusing with the construction. We liked the new look. We were going to use our Restaurant.com certificate at Hash House A Go Go but the wait was ridiculous. Hubby saw the ad for Guy Fieri's new restaurant so we gave it a try. We each ordered an appetizer, me the lettuce wraps, Hubby wings. Excellent! We decided to try and check-in at Encore after we ate. The line was long but moved quickly. We were in our resort king suite within 15 minutes of arrival. LOVED the suite and the view of the north end strip and mountains. Beautiful hotel and casino but the location is a little too north. Hubby is used to walking out the door and having 2 or more other casinos available if the tables aren't hot where we are staying. We received an offer from Encore/Wynn with 300 in free play and I decided to add 200 to it and play a $5 Top Dollar machine. Started to get a little worried when I wasn't hitting anything after the first 300 but I finally got a bonus round - first offer 750 and I took it!!! We decided to use our two free buffets for dinner. Another great meal! Hubby loved the bread pudding and creme brulee. I turned in early and Hubby stayed to play a little while longer. He didn't stay long because the tables were cold.
    Day 2
We stopped in to check out the Venetian and Plazzo because it had been a couple of years since we played there. Played a few machines and no luck. Then we walked over to TI - we hadn't been there in awhile either. Still looked the same to us. Played a few machines and decided to go to Mirage and use our MyVegas rewards for the breakfast buffet. The buffet was changing to lunch so we were able to have both. And beer and wine is included. So far, great meals!!! After we ate we headed to Red Rock Casino, and then to Aria to check-in for our 3 nights there. There was a very long line at check-in even at the invited guest line. So instead of both of us waiting, Hubby told me to go play in the casino. I saw a Millionaire Sevens Ladder slot and got a bonus on the first spin. The bonus hit for 100x my bet of 3.00! $300!! Cashed out and Hubby was getting the keys. Headed up to the room to check it out. We got a strip view, very nice. I was a little disappointed the room did not "greet" us when we entered but I got over it very quickly. This was our 4th stay here and still our favorite hotel/casino. We had planned to go to Hyde on Monday night to have a few drinks and watch a couple of fountain shows but it was closed for a private event. We decided to give it a try around 5:00pm when they opened. We went to Bellagio about 4:00 and played awhile. I had a couple of good hits on Reel Em In and then it was time to go to Hyde. We were the second group in at 5pm and was able to get a table outside in front of the fountains. We had a drink and watched two shows. We will definately do this again. Headed back to Aria, played for awhile and called it a night. Hubby had a good run at craps the first night, he was up $385 for the day.

    Day 3
Woke up around 6am PT, texted Hubby and he brought me up a coffee. Hubby mentioned there were a lot more ladies of the evening out than any other trip, he was approached 3 times by different women. One he said was dressed almost like a waitress and at first he thought she was one. We walked over to Monte Carlo and had breakfast in the food court. We played a few machines with no luck and moved on to NYNY. I tried my Top Dollar machine and lost $100 quick. Lost another $100 in a couple of more machines and decided to look for Hubby. He was playing the Blackjack machine and cashed out $10 up. We went back to Aria to pick up the rental and went to Mandalay Bay. I played a few machines and left about $40 down. Hubby lost $100 on one Craps machine and won it back plus $35 on another Craps machine. One machine rolled the dice for you -the one he lost the $100 on but the odds were better. After Mandalay Bay we decided to go to the Outlet Mall on the south end of the strip. We picked up a few things for our 14 year old son and headed Downtown. We stopped at Encore and left a tip for the maid on the way downtown. We hadn't been Downtown in about 5 years and wanted to see what was new. We realized why we hadn't been in 5 years - it's just not for us. I know alot of people love it but we are not fans of the older casinos. Some of the street performers were starting to set up - there were alot! We valet parked at Golden Nugget and it took about 30 minutes to get the car. By now we were starving and wanted to try Bobby Flay's Burger Palace at the front of the Mandarin Oriental. I had the Crunch Burger with potato chips, cheese, and spicy mayo. Hubby had the Vegas Burger with White American Cheese, Fresno Red Chiles, and BBQ Potato Chips. Both were amazing!! And the staff were very friendly. We decided to walk off the burgers. We walked through PH and the music and videos are geared toward the younger crowd. It seemed to be working. Walked through Paris to Bally's and back out to the strip. Crossed over to Bellagio and watched another fountain show. Heaed back to Aria and I played a butterfly sevens machine and started winning. I started with $20 and cashed out $200 after about an hour of play. Hubby cashed out $140 up on the craps table. I headed up to bed.
    Day 4
Woke up and played a little at Aria, I had been wanting to play a Diamond Jubilee penny machine but it was always busy. It was empty this morning so I jumped on it. I loved this machine and had several free spins. I started with $100 and cashed out a little over $300 after almost two hours of play. We headed to the Monte Carlo food court for breakfast. Played some at Monte Carlo and NYNY. By now it was time to go check out of Encore. After checking out at Encore we ate at the Peppermill. Great breakfast! Went back to Aria and played some more. Eat dinner at Five50, hubby had two slices and I had the meatballs. Great!! We both played the rest of the night at Aria. Hubby was down for the day. I was just feeding the machines - I had no luck after the Diamond Jubliee. Headed to bed with a couple of humdred in my pocket.

    Day 5
Our flight back home left at 11:15am so we didn't have much gambling time. My pin number didn't work and I had to wait until 8am for the players club to open to reset. I played my point play and turned $102 into $300. Hubby checked us out and there was a $22 charge from Hyde that wasn't covered by our resort credit but they took care of the charge anyway. Then it was time to turn the rental car in and get to the airport. I lost $100 in the airport slot machines before we boarded. It was a great trip as aways and anytime we can come back with a little money in our pockets is a win.
