Long time lurker, first time poster:

I've got my trip coming up in June and my buddy and I are staying downtown one night and then at Elara for two nights.

I don't see a lot of talk about Elara and I just wanted to know what people's general feel for it is. I love the location and having a Junior Suite for a $99 rate a night was hard to pass up.

What do y'all think of the place?

    Thanks!

The Elara is the old Planet Hollywood Westgate Tower, I've stayed there a few times. It's very nice but since it turned into a Hilton it seems like the rates doubled or tripled.

Oh yea, you simply can't beat the location either.

When it was managed by Westgate it had a lot of bad reviews concerning housekeeping and cleanliness.
I don't have any personal experience but I'm guessing Hilton will improve that.

That's where we are staying our next trip in a Junior Suite also. Can't wait to hear what you thought about it because I can't find much about it either.

Between myself and my family we were at the Westgate about 10 times, never had any complaints about housekeeping and the rooms were decently clean.
