Looking for heads up on Roulette at El Cortez, thanks.

What are the minimums for the weekdays / weekends?

Minimum buy-in to get a stack of colour chips?

Also advise any betting strategies you employ when playing numbers / columns etc to lower the house edge.

Weekdays i believe the chips are 25 cents each, not sure what the minimum total bet is. Weekends is 50 cents per chip with a minimum total bet of i believe $2 or $2.50. Not aware of any minimum buy in.

Never played at El Co but I've never heard there being a minimum to buy in at a table. I've seen people buy in for $20 at a $15 table. So I'd assume you could buy in for any amount.

This being the case, I'll correct my earlier post to specify that weekend minimums are $2. I'm pretty sure i remember them saying weekend minimums were double weekday minimums.

In answer to your other question, there is no betting strategy in Roulette to lower the house edge. All bets on a 00 wheel have the same edge of 5.26%, with one exception - the 5-number 0-00-1-2-3 which is 7.89%. Sorry, but have fun with it. How much can you lose at a buck a spin?

Yeah we are playing more so for the fun factor, we have 4 nights downtown to go frugal, then we have 7 on The Strip.

Back home here in Oz, $10 min on a number is not uncommon.

We hope to have a table just for the 5 of us if we buy-in for the right amount, thinking $100 each.
