In Atlantic City they are now charging $10 for early check. Are they doing the same thing in Vegas for early check in?

    Early Check In

I have not heard anything about that, my last trip in August I checked in early at Monte Carlo no fee.

They have it. They say it's only being charged to people without TR cards but it sounds like they are getting cardholders with it, too.

Harrahs got me with it last Dec in Vegas. I am a cardholder and was in a COMP room and they still wanted the money!! We refused, but had to wait on our room.

Ballys and Flamingo and PH and Caesars Palace have never charged me the fee. I have not stayed at Harrah's since.

Two weeks ago, I checked in early at the Imperial Palace and they wanted $28.00 for early check in. I am a TR member.
Not sure if they have it at all of their properties. I do know that they ALWAYS charge me for early check in.

Charged at the Rio this past Sept..It was Labor Day monday, but still did not get in the room until 1pm .(I checked in around 10 am)

I don't mind it on a comped room and worth the $10 to unpack and settle down.

Rio tried to do it to me this past trip. I refused to pay and waited instead. Disgusting way to start a stay.

My last 2 check ins at Ballys and Flamingo both times the clerks mentioned that they did not charge an early check in for TR card holders.

    Check the fine print.....

    EARLY CHECK-IN
Early check in may be obtainable based on availability at a fee of $28. Fees may be subject to change and management reserves all rights.

Thats the fine print on my confirmation email for my Harrahs LV reservation that I booked through the TR site with partial comps.

Based on the comments above, and another active thread asking the same thing I would say maybe, maybe not. Leaning towards maybe not.

When checking in at harrahs last may at about 1pm one of those time share scum bags came up to us and line and told us they'd charge us money to check in early, told him that was fine and just stayed in line, think he just wanted us to get out of line and sign up for the presentation.

We stayed in line, got towards the front of line and had a clerk escort us into the platinum/diamond check in and got checked right in with no early check in fee charged

I'm currently trying to plan another LV trip. One flight option has me arriving at 10am. I'd pay $10 ahead of time knowing I can get into a room at that time and get my trip started right away without having to come back later in the day to check in. It's always been a crapshoot to see if the room would be ready or not. $10 is worth the guarantee IMO.

I gather they'd put a time limit on it. Like guaranteed to be ready by 11am. Can't show up at 6am and expect the room to be ready (I tried that once, lol and they couldn't offer me anything except a seat in the sportsbook).

I stayed at the Flamingo in December and tried to check in at 2:00 pm. They impose a $25 early check-in fee for anything before 3:00. But, they let me check in and come back after 3:00 to get my key without the charge.

can you leave your bags with the bellman until your room opens up so you don't have to lug them around with you if you do get their early...I know you can if you check out and need to store them for a while but didn't know about checking in early

We have experienced no early check in fee at Paris and when they didn't have a cleaned room available, we checked our bags with the bellman who quickly brought them up when our room was available.
