Since I can only be in Vegas for the weekend, I chose a flight that lands at 8:30 am. When I get to Paris, do I go ahead and check in or do I leave my bag with the bellhop and check in later. I don't need the room right away and I don't want to pay extra. Just wondered what others do in this situation.

Won't hurt to ask. Worst case is you just check your luggage.

Which day are you arriving - will make a difference.

But - ALWAYS go to check in to see if they have a room. If they do, then great. If not, go give your bags to bellman.

Have done the $20 trick when checking in as early as 9am, mostly successful with getting a high floor and early check in. I have had to wait before for an hour or two, either way just leave bags with bellman

You can get a room right away if you pay an early fee of $15.00. They are charging now if you arrive even 3 hours early.

Last December they had signage up about the early check in fee. Wife and I checked in to our room at 10 am, no early fee, and we got a P-room corner. I had very little tier (200 maybe?) at the time just from the Great Race, so it wasn't that. My friend got a lecture on the early fee but didn't get charged the fee...same check in time, different clerk. Either way, no fee, no upgrade but free finger wagging for her...

My sister & I were there in January. Arrived at the Paris about 11:00 am & got our room right away with no mention of an early check in fee. It was a Monday so maybe not as busy as a weekend?

I wouldn't expect less at the Palms though. They are not as desirable with the off the strip location.
