    Being a frugal Vegas couple as we are... We usually take our own supplies... ie: sodas, waters, beer, booze, and make our drinks in our room- it's usually a rum and coke or a cognac and coke (we even take cups and the little black straws the bars use in their mixed drinks). We usually do this when we are heading out to another property for dinner/show and have come back to our hotel after a dinner, show, etc and plan to hang out at our casino and play. So running up to the room to make a couple of drinks every so often isn't too bad. But when we are out and about, other hotels, or if we just don't feel like making a room-drink run, what is another decent drink to ask for at a bar. Mind you if a wanted a rum and coke I guess I could ask for that. But I assume you are usually going to drop twenty for two of those plus tip anyways. So any other favorites that a solid drinks? Usually something every bar is going to make.
    Does anybody else do the in room bar? :) I always see coolers headed up with the luggage haha.

    If you like rum and cokes you could always bring a small bottle of rum with you to take with you when you leave the room. You'd be able to buy a bottle of coke for about $3-3.50 from the hotel gift shop.

    Otherwise, at most casino bars you aren't going to find any cheap drinks that they all have... typically at most bars you would be looking at $5-7 for a beer or beer-like drink and $7-10 for liquor or a mixed drink.

    Some bars do have specials, but in most cases its some brand of beer that they have for $1-2

    I always like to have a bar setup in my room for a little drinking before hitting the town. I enjoy drinking a whisky/ginger, and I've noticed that quite a few places I frequent don't carry Ginger Ale. Depending on your level of comfort, I will often premix a batch of Jim Beam and Ginger into a single serving plastic soda bottle and request a glass with ice from the bar. This is great if you're going to post up playing slots or vp, as you can keep your drink topped off.

    Yes my friend and I do. We actually invented a new drink in vegas called the burt reynolds. It is a wash apple minus the cranberry juice. So its just apple pucker and crown. Had some fun times on that. Had to create is as we were to lazy to go to walgreens in vegas and get the juice. 2 burts and you will have the time of your life as its all alcohol. Why Burt Reynolds? Cuz it's a mans drink.

    Airline bottles are refillable and carry easy in your wife purse, and coke is easily available. Or if you don't want to spend much, play dollar keno in a nice lounge and just have drinks brought to you. Ballys or Orleans keno lounges are great places to drink for free with great service, and the dollar tip is even cheaper than buying a coke.

    That's what I do. I actually have several of those tiny empty 'airline' bottles. I take them with me, buy a bottle of rum once in Vegas, fill up my bottles in the hotel room, and carry them around with me. Coke you can get anywhere. I'll even pop into McDonalds for a Coke and burger, fill up my cup and add some rum. Before I leave I'll top off my Coke and add more rum. I just keep the bottles and reuse them whenever I go to Vegas :beer:

    Forgive me. I am not classy. Some ideas to consider;

    -get a bigger cup, like a sports bottle or a big takeout style cup
    -small bottle of some kind of liqueur that you can drink straight
