Just got back today from Vegas. Went to the Palms sportsbook a few times. I kept wondering where the cocktail waitresses were. I made a few bets and ask for a drink ticket. I was told they have no cocktail waitresses in the sportsbook. I you bet at least $350, the manager will hand write you a comp ticket then you take it to the bar and get your drink. I've never heard of this in a sportsbook. Is this new or what????:peace:

Next time place your bet and then sit down at a 2-4 table in the power area (it is not a room). You can watch all the games and drink yourself into oblivian. That's what I did last week. Had a great time.

The drink service in the Palms poker room and Sportsbook is kinda weird.

Since Cantor Gaming took them over last year, they have to pay the Palms for all the free drinks that are served in those areas. From what I was told and saw with my own eyes, the CW goes in the poker room on a strict every 30 min rotation. After the CW goes back to the service bar to fill the drink orders she is given a receipt for the drinks and that is then signed off on by the poker room manager.

I'm not really shocked they don't have cocktail service in the sports book, it would wind up cutting too much in to Cantor's profits.
