Gosh... Red inside the Golden Nugget is the only sushi place I've eaten at downtown... I'm not aware of others? I've always thought downtowners tend to be more of a $2.99 (on a coupon) meatloaf group (with an extra plate to share of course) I kid... I kid...

If you're a gourmet sushi lover, the options are slim. That place at the GN is probably the only one that would fit your tastes. There was a sushi place called Island Sushi at the Plaza but that shut down a while ago. And it was the Todai/Makino Chaya type of establishment.

The Brewpub at MSS has sushi, but somewhat limited in variety and average at best. The Fremont Seafood buffets on Tues. and Fri. serve sushi but only the Maki type as far as I know, never seen any Nigiri type offerings. And again, just average quality.

I can't think of any other place, maybe some other members know of other places in Downtown off the Fremont Canopy area.
