When I think about how late of a checkout is allowed I just book an extra day and check out when I want.

You didn't show any preferences to the Boyd Properties which is good because I've found the Boyd properties are pretty inflexible when it comes to late check-out. This is due largely in part to the many Vacation Hawaii charters that flood the hotels every other day.

My Wife and I usually pay for another day if we need to sleep in on our last day.

your Plaza deal looks great for downtown. some properties these days allow you to "book" a late checkout. it seems like it runs about half of the normal daily rate (with no resort fee). I would call reservations and ask before booking.

Your question is: What would I do?, so my answer is Golden Gate even though I've never stayed there. You're adjacent to Fremont, and I love the vibe. One word: Du-Par's. Plus, if they're giving you four nights (and the rate for that fourth night is probably about 40 bucks) you don't have to worry about the late checkout. Plaza continues to evolve, but every time I walk in there I think, meh.

I have heard GG can be noisy though, so that might be a problem. Plaza's situation away from Fremont is going to be a plus if outside noise is an issue.

I also just book the extra night. No worries about where to store luggage, and if I need a break it's nice to have a room to refresh in.

Best bang for your buck would be Plaza, can walk to any DT casino as fast as to just one on the strip. I have the same offer for Plaza as you and will be trying it out in a couple weeks.

A agree that the Plaza deal is terrific...
But you are being offered Anthology rooms or not quite at PH...I couldn't pass that up...

The Plaza rooms will be much better(larger/not as noisy), but the BJ there sucks, typically only a couple tables to pick from with no vibe either. i agree with the guy who says check your boyds offers online, I'm not a big player by any means and get decent offers.

If you can get by without downtime in your room on Monday afternoon, I vote for Plaza. Otherwise, GG.

Do not do Golden Gate, unless it's a suite...and if it's not, I would go with the Plaza...ask for the South Tower, but since you're on a comp, that's likely where they'll put you anyway... 100% of my comp stays have been South Tower without asking.

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!
