    Trips to Las Vegas:
Anybody have knowledge of a good sports book in Downtown Vegas. I will be there Oct 11-14 and will be sitting on my fat ass all day Saturday making all kinds of bets. I am looking for a room with a good view of many tvs, a nice place to sit, food near by, and somewhere where they will give out drink tickets!!!

I am certain that you will get several replies with specifics.

I will list a few that you might consider:

    1. Golden Nugget. Fanciest.

    2. El Cortez. Bit of a zoo.

    3. Fremont. Sometimes a bit crowded & rowdy.

    4. Plaza. Several bad reviews lately on this board.

    5. Four Queens. Kind of small.

    6. Cal. This is where I go. Very small, but almost never crowded. On second floor of Cal.
What I do is sit at Dave's Bar in the sports book & play quarter VP while watching the games on
TV. As long as you are playing VP (which I would be doing anyway), you get free drinks -- fast!
Now, this is just my opinion, but I like to bet & watch there because most of the patrons are from
Hawaii, and they are so pleasant. No fights. No cursing. Lots of smiles. Just my two cents
I am looking forward to other opinions!
