    I've been getting offers for the Golden Gate for a while now and am thinking I will take them up on that this summer, however a pool is a necessity for me. Do any of you know of any pools downtown we can go to (and what they would charge us to get in)?

    If you stay at the Golden Gate, you can probably use the pool at the D, as they are the same owners. Golden Nugget pool can be used for a fee, or I think if you buy a day pass to the Spa for $20 you can use the pool also. Or walk over and sneak in the one at the Plaza....

    Three years ago when I was at the GN, they told me the pool at times is only for guests (because it gets very busy). I only stay at the GN, so I'm not 100% sure if this still applies.

    Couldn't you rent a daybed or cabana at GN for the pool entry?

    If you go before 11:00 you can walk right in to the Plaza pool, just pretend you belong there....lol...The pool at Binion's is easy to get in to as well any time of the day. The Nugget pool is well guarded and chances are poor unless you are a guest.

    i am surprised to read that the binions pool is open at all. who is it open to, guests of 4 queens? seems odd to have a rooftop pool open for a hotel that is closed.

    dang, perhaps i should have ventured up there one night to have a look around from above. never been to the pool at either plaza or binions.

    not enough rooftop pools in this world.

    I have been asked for a room key every time I have used the pool at Binions. The nice thing about Binions, is there is a couple of rooms on the floor below that they have set up for use as showers, changing, etc. It is kind of creepy in there, but nice to have showers available.

    There is also a pool at the California. It takes a room key to gain enterance to the pool. It is not much of a pool, but it works if you just want something simple. I have stayed at the Plaza before and know some people snuck in and used the pool. I'm not sure if this is possible now. Other pools are at the Golden Nugget and the D.

    The last time I used the pool at the Plaza, I needed a pass key. Obtained one at the front desk by showing my room key.
    Good luck. :beer::beer:
