So I'm 2 sleeps away from my 3 night GN stay and am super excited. So I've been checking rates and nearly everyone is sold out for the weekend. Hotels not sold out are at strip prices. Anything special going on or is the the norm now for downtown? I'm typically too [STRIKE]cheap[/STRIKE] frugal to go to Vegas on the weekend so maybe this is the norm.

This may not bode well for trying a Landry's Select upgrade, but guess the more the merrier! Plus happy to see the business for downtown.

Could just be the summertime crowd. They could be basing their prices on previous years, as with the airlines, hotels could be "guessing" that there will be a big summertime crowd and so they jack up their rates because they know/think people will still come and pay those higher prices for a room.

But no, I don't see anything going on (no big conventions, etc.).
