    Hello All!

I am moving out to Vegas in August (beginning my two year master's at UNLV) and coming in July to find an apartment. I would like to live within the Downtown LV area. I am looking for a one bedroom and willing to pay 675 max per month. Can you guys recommend some good places?

Apartments downtown? Ewww. Just, ewww. There are plenty of apartments near the UNLV area. Even the Green Valley area would be easily doable as it's not far from UNLV.

Downtown is kind of the pits. You either have low rent and all the ugliness that comes with it, or you have the new construction/flipped/remodeled stuff that runs about $2000/mo. I'm interested in living downtown, but it hasn't been feasible. Even if I can get past, the rent situation, there is so little when it comes to typical neighborhood conveniences like groceries, etc.

Searching around UNLV or the west side will be a better fit. It'll be tough to find less than $675 in Green Valley.

Check out the places at about 8th and Fremont near container park. Remodeled, smallish, but the newer redevelopment has built out that far. I think they're in that range. Gold Spike has studios at 575 - inquire within for those.
