Next trip I am planning on visiting all 12 major casinos downtown in one day.

I will have a drink in each, play a 20 in video poker at a bar-top, and try one other game per casino.

currently the games I am going with are:

    by default

    Sigma Derby at The D
    Bingo at the Plaza

    and

    live Poker at Binions
    Keno at the Elco
    Pai Gow at MSS
    Boobjack at GG
    a sports bet at Fremont
    Let it Ride at LVC
    UTH at the 4Q
    Craps at the Cal
    Roulette at the DTG
    Baccarat at the Nugget

Any suggestions as to what game should be played where?

Not sure if I will add Mermaids and Labayou as well.

Anything else that should be added to the list? Container Park, Fremont East, Downtown 3rd?

I'm thinking that peeing on the Berlin Wall and photo with the million should be done, and maybe a cigar at Vato's

    Ideas? thoughts? best route?

This is a must for me every trip downtown. I still have not seen the vintage pool tables upstairs if you do that let me know how it was.

I used to do something similar, playing BJ in every casino. I call it the "Fremont Street Shuffle". The thing that always stopped me in my tracks is that I would get hungry, and it seemed like I could never get going after eating.

Here's my suggestion for the route. You may want to adjust it depending on where you're staying:
    El Co
    Grand
    Fremont
    Binion's
    LVC
    Cal
    MSS
    Plaza
    Golden Gate
    Golden Nugget
    4Q
    The D

This gives you the added advantage of playing Sigma Derby for a long time at the end of your run.

A couple other notable stops -
    Blarney Stone at the D
    Free slot pull at 4Q
You could do your cigar & VP at 4Q in Chicago Brewing
Gold nugget & gold vending machine at GN

    Have fun & good luck!

What about the Gold Spike, or is that now closed as a casino?

Gold Spike is a artisan non-gaming hotel and the Western is closed so now the Las Vegas Club is the low man on the Totem pole downtown.

I think I'll keep to small bites so as not to lose momentum: doughnut and coffee, slice of pizza, sushi etc,

I like your route but I think I'll get on the sigma derby early , it tends to get packed by the late afternoon/early evening.

You really know your Downtown casinos! Those are mostly my favorite games at each as well. I would probably play Keno instead at the Fremont. IMHO Container Park is worth a peek.

Great idea for your DT crawl. I agree the Container Park is most excellent to visit. Now that I'm a local I don't get out all that much but when I do I go DT and always hit up the container park when they have events going on.

We had security escort us upstairs to check out the pool tables at MSS. If they are not busy, they usually don't mind. We have also been up there on our own but it is probably better to ask before you go up. Have fun!!

Try BJ at ElCo, good games. I applaud your choice of "boobjack" at GG. Make sure to go at night, they are more scantily clad;) Have fun, sounds like a great day!!!

Based on my only visit there, back in '99, "Artisan" isn't a word I would've ever associated with the Gold Spike!

So they redid the entire place and made it high-end, with no gaming?

Unfortunately they have the wall behind Plastic now so you have to be more creative if you ever want your pee to get on the wall.

    I would go:
    El Co - 2-deck blackjack shoe w/DAS
    'theD' - UTH
    Fremont - 'Texas Holdem Bonus'
    4-Queens - 3 Card Poker
    Nugget - Freebet Blackjack & 3-card
Binions - ummm...cut through to get to the Cal?
Cal - 2 deck blackjack pitch game.
MSS - VP and craps (and 777 for food).
    Plaza - 2-deck blackjack shoe w/DAS & UTH
    LVC - 2-deck blackjack shoe w/DAS
Golden Gate - UTH & $5 flat-bet no-brainer blackjack (strictly for scenery purposes).

At some point, I might hit the Grand to look for their 2-deck game...I've read here that it's a decent table.

Finally have the room booked! Look for me Feb 21-23

Just a thought - does the LVC have Let It Ride? They very well could, but I sure don't remember seeing it there last year when we were there for some MP's and FSP.

Sounds like a fun, and very busy, day!

    Have fun and good luck.

    Cheers,
    Kelly

Let me get this straight. You're going to have a drink at all of them, but, you're not going to eat at all of them, right? Are you going to be doing any sit down meals? Using any coupons?

I should get the aloha coupon book so if I sit down for a meal it will be at the 777 at MSS or the Cal. (on another note does anybody know if the new noodle place at the California takes the meal coupons?)

Now if I can just find my D 5 dollar match play coupons...

The 777 and Market St Cafe menus both have little symbols next to items to denote being covered by a coupon...nothing on the Noodle House menu indicates this so I'm guessing no. It's also classified as 'fine' rather than 'casual' dining on The Cal's website.

    downtown casino crawl

I also plan a casino crawl downtown nearly every trip. Usually takes up a full night.
    2 people All 14 casinos -
    $20+$2(tip) for each casino,
    20 minute time limit and
1 alcoholic drink (the drink has to be different at each casino)

At each casino we set a stopwatch for 20 minutes. Go!
We play until time ends or bust, hopefully cash out a nice TITO & meet up at a pre-determined photo spot to compare results.

The loser has to wear a DOODY-HEAD hat, the winner gets to wear a crown & we take a photo of fame/shame with our TITOs.
Then write down the results, including what we drank, what games we played & we cash in any TITOs and lock it up in a bank bag.
Loser and winner wear the hat/crown to the next casino.
Loser doesn't get to take the hat off until they WIN.
At the very end we tally the results.
We take a money shot photo and the winner gets to decide what we spend the money on!

took a pic off the web to show the last hat of shame we used....it got us soooooo many comments from other people!
it was soooo embarassing, totally great! (as long as I wasn't the person wearing it)
