Do all the hotel downtown offer free parking? And which is the best lot to park my SUV. I want to walk around the area today.

    Thanks

Some of them do with validation from gambling.

Main Street will also do it with a restaurant validation.

Benion's parking structure is in a good location and they'll validate parking stubs near the cashier cages.

It's only free if you jump through some hoops and then there's a time limit like around 3 hours for free.

At 4Q I got parking validated with a $1 keno bet. Lady asked how long I would be around, said 4 or so hours, she gave me two stamps I did not have to pay when I left.

I think that Binions require you to put in some play or eat at their restaurants to get the validation.

Same for MSS and the Cal but I think they collect the parking fee when you first enter the parking lot and then you have to go to the player's club booth to get your parking fee back (after they check to see your play or if you ate at their restaurants). Not sure if that is the case with Binions.

I parked at Binions, had to pick up some cash from GN, was about 20 mins, went into Binions to get ticket validated, spoke with a grumpy security guard who gave me some bullshit runaround, so I said F*&k it, I,ll pay the 2 bucks or whatever. When I got to the booth at the garage exit, they dude just waived me through, what the hell, I gave him the 2 bucks anyway.

I parked at the El Cortez and it was free. Just walked into the casino and played VP and had a drink or two but that was not required. We then walked over to the Pizza Rock had dinner and came back a couple of hours later and left. No validation necessary.

I was going to suggest El Cortez. You can also pull up at the main entrance and valet. That only costs the amount of the tip on pickup.

Beware, because of people going to the container park and other clubs in the area there is a security guard (most of the time) at the entrance to the El Cortez main parking lot. He usually checks for room keys but if you show your player's card you are also admitted - except when there are things going on in or near the EC and especially on Friday/Saturday nights or week nights with big events. On those busy nights they only allow hotel guests to park in the main parking lot (they might allow people to park early but at night they restrict it to hotel guests).

I think YMMV with parking at the main EC lot, sometimes you are allowed to park, other times only hotel guests can park there.

There is a secondary parking structure that is catty corner to the EC and across the street from the cabana suites. On busy nights they also monitor parking and YMMV the rest of the time.

Actually many of the downtown hotels you can also valet, many don't need validation and just requires a tip.

BTW, the Cal and MSS charges $3 for parking for the day but you get it back if you put in enough play or eat at their restaurants (and go to the player's club booth for your money back).

At 4Q the cage will not validate parking tickets. If you're playing slots you need a supervisor to validate your ticket.

I got mine validated at the keno lounge last summer. Not the cage.

Downtown Grand will valet your car for free as long as you get your ticket validated at Pizza Rock or Triple George Grill. We always do at least one happy hour at Pizza Rock so this is a great deal for us.
