There was a time some got free nights using mailers from other casinos.
Was there a trick to that? Did it require any amount of play? Was it done directly with the front desk or with a host? Anyone done it recently?

I don't know if it is still in effect, but I called, said I had an offer for 2 nights and was their match offer still in effect? Yes, but two things, you have to provide the mailer offer and you will have to pay the resort fee on this type of offer. That being said and with the changes going on, who knows.

The offer match is only on the first stay, usually, according to my host. There is also a promotion to get up to $100 free play if you have an airline ticket matching the date of your stay. I've never seen it explained, but I got $100 out of it.

Free coffee starts at 6:00am now, not 5:00am like it used-to was.

Thanks Joe and everyone. I think that if I get to go then, I'll just use my 4 Queens offer this trip and try this trick another time. Thanks all for the information.

Mr flusher, are you by chance in Mecca, and can we possibly look forward to a trip report?

You are the first one to notice that I was recently in the Holy Land.

I had a offer for 2 days for the cost of the resort fee in May. I had never played there or contacted them!? I gave them some play and I hit a royal and I have not heard from them?
My July trip I gave them some play and my sister also and so far nothing!

I did the matching offer once for two night and you had to pay the resort fee. I have since gotten almost monthly mailers from them for comped nights and there is no resort fee on those comps. Their timing on the mailers is terrible. They usually show up on the 2nd or 3rd day of the month that the offer is good for. July offer came July 2nd. August offer arrived Aug 3rd.

IMHO, you must have been on their system or something, I seriously doubt that they would cold call email people out of the blue. They had to know that you go to vegas. Maybe they got your info from Binions or some other hotel casino or maybe someone like a host moved over and put your name on their cold call system. I never got any offers from the DTG but I never signed up for their player's card yet.

I notice that when I sign up for player's cards I get a number of offers and emails to stay and/or play but once they see how much/little I play I never get many offers from them after that. When I signed up for the boyd card years ago I was getting regular offers for free nights, birthday dinners at Tony Romas, etc. but after seeing my play I never got free night offers again.

    Again????

Geez you could not wait another month to coincide with my next and long overdue visit.

I could have hooked you up with passes to the nerdy cell phone convention (all cell phone conventions are nerdy, by the way.)

I know you would really like that... hahaha!
