Probably staying at the DG in May, Just wondering what the "City view" is for the Premier rooms? I think I'm clear on the "Mountain view". Which do you prefer?

I wouldn't really call any views that great at the DTG. Mountains and lights in the distance if your floor is high enough.
Maybe I am getting too use to the views.

Last time I stayed there I had a great view of the giant beer pong game at Gold Spike across the street. I guess that was "Mountain View".

I don't recall what our room was called, but you can kind of see our view of nothing.

Due to the noise from "Hogs & Heifers" & the pool, we ask for a room in the Grand tower facing West or the Casino tower facing East. Otherwise we have been happy with our stays at the Grand. 4 trips there since July, and another trip next week.

Just ask for a 'quiet room'. You will want it, believe me. East facing in the Casino tower (view of Gold Spike, El Cortez and out to Boulder Highway) should give a pleasant view and won't have the noise issues.

low floor facing east can be very loud also on fri and sat nights as Gold Spike has outdoor bands and can be very very loud till late at night

to me quietest room would face west in the west tower and high as possible, but I prefer the casino tower rooms for ease of coming and going

We had an amazing view at Downtown Grand. We were in the tower above the Commissary in a Premium room on the second from the top. The view was a beautiful mountain view on one side and could see all the action on Fremont street on the other. We also had a great view of the strip in the distance. I actually preferred this view to a Strip view room on Las Vegas Blvd :)
