As part of the "resort fee" at checkin at the Downtown Grande, they offer the Grand Experience book.

It says offers for the property and downtown neighbors...does anyone know what the coupons and offers are actually good for?

    Thanks in advance!

There's a match play coupon, which is the one I cared about the most.

There are mostly food discounts for the restaurants the Grand owns - the Commissary, Picnic, Triple George, Mob bar drink 2 4 1 or some such - that kind of stuff.

thanks guys! That is my double book place this trip...comped with hotel chain points (-minus resort fee!) I plan on staying the night after my downtown day and night. Figured I'd take advantage of the offers in the book if they were worth anything...definitely will use the MP coupon.

If you're over 50, will be downtown on a Thursday and like video poker, consider playing at the Downtown Grand then. They have a great "seniors" deal on Thursdays. Food at the S+O cafe is half price, you get 5x points for machine play and a $5 match play coupon. Also free entry into a slot and blackjack tournament. We didn't do those because their sign-in process was too disorganized and slow.

They have 99%+ Bonus Poker at the quarter level. We played there a lot last Thursday and accumulated $110 of food credit at S+O. We ate lunch and dinner there Thursday and breakfast Friday before we left town. Because Thursday was half price we still had $45 of food credit left when we headed for the airport.

They were also running a promotion whereby you got a 375 ml bottle of Crown Royal for each 2000 base points, so we also got a couple of those. I think that's also ongoing, as they said they'd done it the previous Thursday. And on top of all that, if you bring new members to their Player's Club you and the new member each get $10 of free play. We were leaving and ran into a couple coming in. They asked us about the casino so we took them to the Player's Club and each got $10 of play. My wife played nickel Triple Double Bonus Poker with hers and turned it into $172.

It's a pleasant place to play if you don't like smoke and a lot of noise. The drink service is great once you get their attention.
