I was looking at the Downtown Grand website and under their "Offers" tab it says "New Downtown Grand MyPoints members receive up to $1,000 based on initial loss!". Can anybody tell me how this actually works?
    TIA

    Join the slot club. Gamble.

    You win ... great.

You lose, you get back what you lost in free play. I believe half right away and half 3 months later.

I think there are other details like you have to play slots only but can use video poker on the rebates. Also if you are out of town, you need to stay at the hotel -- if you get a room offer -- to cash the remaining 25% (after three months) then the last 25% (after another three months).

Has anyone here used this loss rebate offer and how did it go?

Thank you for that info as well. I've never been to DG, never even stepped foot in it; what's the overall feeling of the property? Good casino? Nice rooms? Etc..

We went there last month for the offer. We were staying at Aria and took a taxi in. We waited a good long time for the line of 3 people to clear and got our cards. My wife and I both played for about 2 g=hrs on what might have been the tightest slot machines ever. The best was Buffalo Stampede. We got 122 free spins at max bet ($3 or $3.60, can't remember). It paid $38. We then went back to check our results. I had lost $1200 and my wife $350. We then asked for our rebate.

Guess what? The attendant was happy to inform us that the initial time frame to play was 24 hrs and we could go rack up more losses, LOL. They do not give the initial 50% until after 24 hrs. What a pile of BS! We left as our flight was the next morning. We have some great offers from them now. I am thinking about letting a couple friends stay in the room while we are at Aria, using the free play and resort credit and getting my $500 that way.
