At present, we do not have a host. I have a few questions.
    1. MSS shows that the hotel is sold out on Monday, February 10. It is the only sold out day for that month. What event is happening at that time? We will probably book a room at the California.
    2. On marketing offers for MSS, can we use/transfer it for the California Hotel? The offers normally include room, the Aloha Coupon book and free play.
    3. I also have a line of credit established at MSS. Can I withdraw from it even though we are staying at the California Hotel?

I can only relate to #2 ... as we do the very thing with my wife's offer, only in reverse of what you want to do. I always get 4 night offers for MSS, and my wife always gets 3 night offers for the Cal. So we have one of the MSS hosts take my wife's offer code from the Cal, and she books it for us at MSS, back-to-back with my reservation. So, I would then assume that if you called the host office at the Cal, and asked them to book your MSS offer, they would most certainly do it.

As for #3 -- if your money is deposited or credit established at MSS, you cannot take a marker out at The Cal. I verified this on my trip this past August. I would try to get it established at The Cal.

Buddha/On the Horizon, thanks for the responses. Considering your responses, I may contact a host at MSS. We used to have one up to year 2012. This past year, we were making on line bookings with our two separate and linked accounts. We need reservations for five nights and had hoped to continue this method had it not been for the sold out rooms on February 10th. If I cannot get the booking at MSS, I will check with a host at the California and open a line of credit with them.

For #3, not sure exactly what you mean, are you asking that if you stay at the Cal and have a LOC at MSS (but not at the Cal) can you take out a marker at MSS? The answer is yes. If you are asking if you can take out a marker at the Cal if you have a LOC at MSS (but not at the Cal), then the answer is no, you will have to apply for a LOC at the Cal if you want to take out markers at the Cal.

I even stay elsewhere (EC a lot of the time) and have LOC at MSS, Cal and Fremont and take out markers there whenever I go to vegas.

Might be best to just apply for markers at more than one Boyd casino, some casinos might allow you a higher line of credit even though they all belong to the Boyd group. When I first applied for line of credits, the Cal offerred me a $1k line of credit, MSS and fremont offerred me $2k line of credit. Seems that the Cal might be more stringent in allowing credit but it could just be me. I have since asked for increases and got increases for all since I've had the LOC for over 10 years but the Cal has been my lowest LOC of the three.

Be aware though, for Boyd, while you have to apply at each casino for a separate LOC they are all tied into the same Boyd system. that means if you have a $1k LOC at the Cal and $2k at MSS, if you take out $1k at MSS you will not be able to take anything out at the Cal since you already reached your total Boyd limit even though you haven't taken out anything at the Cal. So in a way, taking out separate LOC's is only for your convenience so you can take out a marker at the Cal and don't have to keep going to MSS to get your marker.

    Hope that makes sense, lol.

You don't need to be staying at MSS to get cash from your LOC. Just walk over the bridge to the MSS cage.

Tip: If you limit your withdrawals to $2k or under, the cage attendants don't need a supervisor to approve it and the process is fairly fast. Over $2k, somebody else has to approve it and it takes more time.

Makikiboy and Joe, thanks for the responses. You answered my question that I can stay at the California and still withdraw from my LOC at MSS. I called the MSS room reservation number this morning and asked if she knew why February 10th was sold out. She did not know, but the surprising thing was she made my reservation for five nights. My on line reservation requests were being denied.
