Which property has best game viewing area downtown? Last year we did Planet Hollywood, but prefer to stay closer to our rooms this year.

Plaza has the best book downtown for watching the games. Lots of large HDTVs and comfortable seating with tables. $2 beers at the nearby bar, and Pop Up Pizza nearby.
The book itself is a William Hill book.

I'd agree with The Plaza. It's clean and perfectly functional, nothing special.

If you're willing to take a short drive, We always go NFL Championship weekend and head out to Sam's Town off Boulder HWY. Their buffet is really good and only like $6.95 if you get their card. Then they have a daily hold'em tourney that starts at 10am for $23. This will take you up to about noon when the first game starts. Their tables have low minimums, so if things aren't going my way I'll head over to the craps table - always a great day.

None of the sports book downtown will be on the scale of the larger books on the strip.

As for the best downtown I would say the plaza for watching games. As for atmosphere probably Golden Nugget.

    Just my 2-cents.

it's not a sportsbook, but the longbar at the D is good for watching games.
Binions just removed all the loungers from Benny's bullpen and placed them outside the sportsbook. these chairs are comfy but you have to get there early for a seat.

Downtown Grand has a nice one. It's not big, but it is comfortable.
