Are you always on VMB regardless?

Do you find yourself extra thirsty for VMB as the time for an upcoming trip draws near?

Do you find yourself on VMB during and soon after your trip?

Is VMB like a medicine, a tranquilizer and yet a stimulant, for all the excitement?

    What say you?

I will glance at it occasionally after a trip but my viewing/posting definately picks up as the trip draws near.

For sure I visit several time a day when a trip is planned. Usually, I don't plan this far in advance.

Actually, since I've found VMB, I am checking it even when a trip isn't planned, but now that I have one planned (for late-September) I am already obsessing about the details.

I've stayed and played at the Golden Gate the last two trips and get decent mailers, but none yet for Sept/Oct. I called a host and was given a rate that was surprisingly high for what I thought I had earned. Called the 4 Queens and was given almost the exact same rate, though I don't spend that much time at either Binions or 4 Queens. I have half a mind to book the 4 Queens room.

I came home from work and gave my wife this song and dance about "how could GG do this to me?" etc.

Then she had to remind me... the trip is 5 months away.

Therefore, I blame VMB for keeping my interest up.

First: Ms. sco5123 ~ You start the nicest posts. Thank you.

And, yes, I am on more when a trip is planned OR when I am thinking I should plan a trip.

i definitely visit vmb when i have an upcoming trip planned (i usually plan 6 months in advance). i check the site multiple times a day! then after the trip, i come on here to mainly post my trip report. after the report is done, i must stay away or at least not come back that often because it causes depression to read about vegas when no trip is in the works . since i only get to go once a year, i really get anxious and actually sad when i read about vegas stuff once my trip is over for the year. so i come in cycles: 6 months of obsessively reading and posting on here, then a trip report (and returning to read responses to trip report), and finally avoiding the site for a couple of months until the next trip enters planning mode .

I agree with Booker -- sco5123, thanks for getting the ball rolling in the way you do.

I'm here on occasion, but certainly leading up to a trip, I'll check in much more regularly. I don't know if I'm stoking the flames of my obsession or just scratching an itch or what, but the visits do help me get ready!

I am always checking VMB. Before trip, after trip, trip planned, no trip planned. I am always learning new things by reading the posts. Sometimes I live vicariously through other posters. I do, however, get a little more excited about reading posts when I have a trip coming up.

Yeah I will have to 4th that - Sco you make some fun threads.

Usually when I get back from Vegas, I don't go on the board much unless I have another trip planned within 2-3 months.

If my next trip isn't until next year, I don't come on here at all until the 3 months start approaching.

I just cant read all this Vegas fun if I am not going for 6 months or more.

I'm more steady in between trips and just check the forums to help out on subjects that I am knowledgeable of.

When the trips get closer, I actually dont get on the forum as much as I'm getting last minute stuff at work situated. I never go on the board during a trip. And coming back from the trip, I usually take a couple days to get back to routine before getting back on the boards.

I always have 3 trips planned, even CES in January. I always look at this board, when I do not, the messages are up to 500! maybe more. The only time I drop off VMB is when I am here. I might stay away from it a week. But I am here at least once a day.

I'll check in occasionally regardless, but ramp up when I'm researching a trip or otherwise have vegas on the brain.

I travel a lot for my business - so I tend to be on here a lot generally because I have a lot of time in airports & hotel rooms to fill - and I find this board to be a great way to pass some of that time.

I probably tend to be on less before a trip, though - trying to get ahead with work or get other pre-trip stuff taken care of keeps me busier doing other things in what would otherwise normally be my VMB downtime.

I think I tend to be on the most right after I get back from a trip - posting the trip report & restaurant reviews, etc. - plus, my favorite part of writing a trip report is then getting to read it after I've written it - it's like getting to relive the trip over and over again every time I read the report! I think I actually write my trip reports & reviews more for myself than for anyone else just for that reason LOL

exactly what i do. i find myself here daily (usually). however, when i'm in vegas, i do not log in and then don't come back for a few days after i return. thousands of new posts make catching up fun after i've decompressed a bit.

Ooh yeah - I didn't even think of that - I don't log in at all when I'm actually in Vegas - too much to try and pack into every minute while I'm there to waste any of that time on the computer!

I tend to read more trip reports as my trip approaches to get the latest information and goings on that I may not be aware.

Usually there will be an activity or two that gets added on the "To Do" list.

Prior to today, my last post was in November, along with my last trip. So, yes.

    I'll occasionally lurk when I don't have a trip planned, but it's depressing. :Þ

I am here much more given that this year I am full speed ahead with baccarat. So I am in Vegas every one or two months this year. I mean I have already been to Vegas twice already come beginning of June it would be my third already. Then plan four more trips for the second half of this year.

Don't like the casinos in the East Coast. Plus now a casino opened up some drive twenty minutes away I hate that even more since it is so close. Vegas keeps me grounded and focused because it is so far away.
