    Hi

I read that the a petition is being circulated to present to the Nevada legislature that would call for a vote on the legalization of marijuana. Do you think this will pass? How do you think would it affect vegas? Would it help or hurt casinos?

Just interested in hearing some different viewpoints and perspectives.

Nevada's already in the process of setting up the medical marijuana system statewide. Clark County (Las Vegas) will most likely accept out of state medical authorizations... something I don't think other states do. On the marijuana legalization front... I honestly doubt we're too far out. Clark County is home to 2/3 of the state's population and is trending blue (liberal)... Washoe County (Reno) is pretty evenly split and the other 15 counties are very solidly conservative (red), but sparsely populated. Nevada has become more and more progressive and that trend appears to have legs.

I hope they legalize it and let you get a complimentary joint while you're playing VP. No one will care about paytables. They could make the cards all psychedelic and create new bars called things like the Sticky Bud lounge or the Indigo bar.
