Do you schlepp your luggage or cab from Aria to Cosmo when changing hotels?

Kind of a silly question - staying 3 nights at Aria and then moving to Cosmo - haven't stayed at Aria before (played there but no stay there) - is it easier to just schlepp our luggage from the Aria to the Cosmo? Or better to take a cab and possibly invoke the wrath of the cabbie? Just not sure of the actual distance if we walk it.

For those of you have made the switch from these two hotels, what say you?

Cab rates in Vegas are based on short hauls on the Strip. I have rolling luggage and will generally haul it myself. If you choose to cab between hotels, keep in mind that you have 3 tips to give the cabbie. The cash tip on his fare is the first. If he doesn't like that, you have two middle fingers. Each has a tip.

It's an easy walk from Aria to Cosmo when going out the doors for the North Valet. Just walk toward Vdara, take the elevator down and enter through the Cosmo Porte Cochere. Maybe a 10 minute schlepp.

Pretty easy trip on foot - piece of cake if you have rolling luggage.

I'm usually a lazy bastard in Vegas but over NYE, I helped my sister and BIL haul their luggage from Monte Carlo to Cosmo - easy, peasy (all the bags had wheels, though).

Thanks SHOCK for the detail - just what we needed to get our bearings and reassurance that it is walkable (we were afraid we might have to walk out to the strip and go from there!!
Thanks bigalbr and the carve - looks like rolling the luggage is the way to go for us.

As someone who dragged luggage from Rio to Bally's once (but I don't actually recommend doing that to others), I think my opinion is obvious from Aria to Cosmo.

Aria to Cosmo is doable, but if you prefer not to walk it with luggage I would go with Lyft. All my drivers were very friendly (except one who just didn't say much) and had no problem with my short rides (they weren't Aria to Cosmo short, but with the luggage its even more understandable). It will be cheaper than a taxi, especially with the promos, and there is less chance of wrath since they just won't take the pickup if they don't want it.

If you have spinners, walk it.

This is probably what i do if I'm in the west tower. If in the east i would just check out on the tv, take the elevator down to the second floor walk through crystals and you are at Aria check in. Come to think about it i might just do the same if in the west tower so i don't have to roll bags through the casino. 5 min from east tower and 10 from west to Aria check in.

Many years (decades) ago I had a business deal in Vegas. Being young I thought I'd drag my luggage down the strip, it was only a 'few' casinos away. Sorry, can't remember from where to where, but about half way I thought 'f-this' (it was mid summer) and dropped mine off at the casino I was in front of (Bellagio) and figured I'd come back to get them. Took a cab from there on out the rest of the day.

First time I realized the casinos are not as close as they appear, never forgot that lesson.

Please do not take a cab or your favorite ride sharing supplier! SH0CK has it right, except it's more like 5 minutes. If you have carry-on sized bags and don't want to take the elevator down you can use the staircase.

I was fairly certain someone had posted a map... after a fruitless search, I googled it and found it over at Vegas Tripping - see attached pic.

p.s. I am also splitting my trip between Aria and Cosmo the weekend of April 21-24!

WOW! Thanks spicole for the map and links and thanks to everyone for generosity of time providing such detail - we will 'spin' our luggage to Cosmo - no schlepping while we watch out for crazy drivers exiting the garage.

Sorry Spicole we won't cross paths - wishing you lots of good luck - but leave a couple bucks there for us to hit!
