It's been almost a year since my last Vegas trip. That wasn't my best and I blame it on me, I didn't approach it with the right mindset. I can't see myself going soon although I may try to budget a moire frugal visit in the fall. I think I can skip the $150 dinners this time and try some of the more fun and interesting bargains this time.

Anyway, I find that I'll be in a place and the smell will remind me of Vegas. It's not like, "Oh there's that Venetian perfumey smell". It's more abstract.

So does anyone else "smell" Vegas or am I just a little obsessed? Maybe both?

Usually when I think this, I realize it's just cigarette smoke.

I don't like to smell people or places

I hate smelling men with that sweet cheap perfume they wear in Vegas
elevators. Some men do smell good and fresh. Irish spring?lol.

At the Paris Hotel a lot of their workers smelled like BO from sweating all day.

I have been really lucky I haven't had to sit next to a smelly person on
    an airplane to Vegas.

I love it when the winds blow in Vegas and it feels nice and it smells fresh.

If a food smells rancid..... I will not eat it.

Vegas Casinos have that smell of winners and losers. I can smell the casino carpets of all the dust that gets on them. I can smell the heat from the electrical machines. Plus, that smokey smell of smokers.

The positive thing about being able to smell is that I can smell smoke from a fire near-by.
I can smell danger.lol. Just kidding. Lucy

It beats an easterly breeze on Richmond Ave in Staten Island in July.

This is gross but when I smell rotting garbage I think of Vegas. Several places have dumpsters sitting in the sun and the food inside ferments into a horrid smell that wafts around in the summer breeze.

When I get in certain elevators I smell it. The place I worked at for 5 years had elevators that smelled that way and it was pure torture some days.

My gym uses a coconut-y fragrance that's exactly like what they use in Gold Spike. And I've purchased many full-size bottles of toiletries from Mirage (Aqua Lime) and Treasure Island (WET), so I always get sensory flashbacks when using them.

But yeah, the smell of beer and cigarettes will take me there, along with certain carpets, fountains (Mirage volcano), etc.

Easter lillies remind me of the M Resort, and cheap hookers and some strippers remind me of the ElCo Casino.

I do too....there's just nothing like Vegas if you're a true Vegas lover. If I live to a ripe old age, I hope I kick off having a martini at dusk watching the Bellagio fountains play Luck Be a Lady Tonight after hitting a big win in the casino:evillaugh

Sorry if anybody here has to deal w/ them hauling me out but hey, it would open up a table? LOL:poke:

An infant with Rotavirus smells like the smell that used to waft out of O'Sheas.

The Wynn smells like a perfume that Hermes makes I can't think of the name of it, but I think it's Un Jardin Sur Le Toit. Of course it's over $100. a bottle haha.

I'm not a smoker and don't wish to be; however, ,when i smell nicotine *anywhere*--and I do mean *anywhere*--I get nostalgic of my Vegas yesterdays...even if it's right when I touch base back at home after a recent trip!

There are two smells that remind me of Vegas.

    1. Chapstick - My first time in Vegas I got really bad chapped lips. The entire trip I used it. Then about a year or so later I bought the exact same kind and when I opened it, it brought me back! I only use that chapstick now.

    2. Hair Wax - The first time my wife and I (girlfriend at the time) went to Vegas together was for a hair and nail show. She bought some hair product and everytime I open it, I smell Vegas.

Every now and then I will open both the chapstick and hair wax just to smell it. I love VEGAS!!!

A couple of weeks ago the smell of the 33rd street 7 train station in Queens reminded me of Vegas. Musky but I loved it anyway!
