Back in the day when they had the coin cups, I'd collect those. I believe I'd collect the matchbooks as well. What do you currently collect or have collected in the past as souvenirs?

I collect the pens. I don't save them, but I use them at work, so when I have a long day, I can look at the pen and remember, "Oh yeah, I had fun once." I'd collect the hotel stationary too, but that is harder to come by these days.

Same with swizzle sticks. Really love those but most places are too cheap to produce a signature stick. Got great swizzles at Frankies Tiki Room though!

I also collect pens to use. The only pens I use at home and at work are hotel pens.

I have 100's of Players Cards and Lanyards. But I don't "collect" things like Matches,
Ashtrays or Chips etc. I might have a Notepad and maybe a Pen or 2 but that's about it.

Over the last few years I have started to keep a $1.00 chip from each place I game at and have even started a shadow box to display them. I also go for the pens, can never have enough of them.

I also collect casino chips. But only if I played craps there. A dollar chip if I played but didn't win anything worthwhile. A red chip if my win was over $100 dollars. A green chip if my win was over $1000.

I have many dollar chips and quite a few red. I also have several green chips. Haven't had the pleasure of collecting a black chip yet.

Shot glasses but I will say I used to collect match books and coin cups. I have lots from casinos that have been closed or imploded years ago. I rarely can even find match books anymore. Last I found were at the Chandelier Bar at Cosmo.

We used to play for those collectable sterling silver coins back when they had the slot machines that dispensed them. We only ever won 1 though, Bellagio.

Primarily players cards and room keys. Sometimes pens, notepads and lotion and soap from the hotel room. I used to collect matchbooks but they are kinda scarce and playing cards when they just gave 'em away like crazy. Now they only sell them or make you jump through hoops for them as if they don't take tons of decks out of circulation all the time.

$1 & $5 chips from every Las Vegas casino I visit each trip.

I'll also grab a few pens, hotel stationary and most definitely matches from the bar at the casinos.

My chip collection has gotten fairly impressive. I now have a $1 & $5 chip from every casino that has been in operation, on the the strip and downtown, from 1982 through the present.

I like collecting these items because I can look at them and remember what a great trip I had when I got those pens from my room at the Trop......etc. Plus, when I'm having a crappy day I can go through some of my casino collectibles and ask myself how bad can it really be, in the grand scheme of things, if I can collect chips and other items from casinos.

Dollar chip for every place I have played that has since closed, red chip for every thousand dollar Royal. Also keep a dollar chip for every Downtown casino that currently operates. Recently put together a collection for my wife, chip for every casino hotel she has stayed in. Shadow box display on order from Amazon. My wife always takes the pen and the notepad, but we use those. And I love showering with hotel soap!

It wasn't my intention, but I seem to have collected those monthly in-room magazines. Mostly, I have ones from CET stays as well as MGM properties. It is interesting to look back on the features and ads for the various shops and restaurants/clubs that have come and gone. Those publications have gotten pretty expensive looking over the years. I'm sure there is no value other than memories, but it's fun to pick one out and browse through it.
