Everywhere I played last did, tipping each time and the drinks kept coming! I love a bit of VP with rapid drink service - much more effective that waiting for the cocktail waitress each time :)

I was at the Sports Bar at Mirage last week, and the bartender told the guy next to me, he needed a Mlife card or he couldn't comp any drinks.

The Wynn has never comped VP players at their bars.

I sat at a bar at Paris 2 weeks ago not at vp. Ordered a $14 martini off the menu and the bartender said to me if you will just move over there to one of the vp's and put a few dollars in, I can comp your drink. Thanks for the tip bartender!!! I moved and put a $20 in.

MLife casinos as long as you use your card you will get comped.Afew exceptions are when they say you must play max credits which most people do anyway.

Wynn is an odd exception at their bars. Most Vegas properties give comp drinks at bars. They want you to bet max quarters, but you can get away with betting one now and again if they aren't serving/looking at you.

There's also a bar in the Mirage that's on that ticket system (perhaps a few other places?) where you get a comped drink, but not until the machine spits out the ticket telling you that you're eligible. Maybe that was just a trial run? There was talk about that on the board here before, but I did come across it at the Mirage last September. Most places though, play max bet, tip the bartender & the drinks flow!

Top shelf drinks from Shutters bar at Rio but play max bet and tip no less than a buck a drink for the bar tenders.

Went to New Orleans and Tunica since I was Last in Vegas, some places have different systems to qualify for drinks. I'm glad Vegas hasn't changed much when it comes to comp drinks. Forget about Indian reservation Casino's.

"The Wynn has never comped VP players at their bars."
Not true; some years ago they did comp.

And why wouldn't you put $20 in a machine to get a $14 drink? Even if you play $14 & cash out, you have earned points, had some entertainment & potentially won more! You were going to pay the $14 anyway...
Oh, I have had a few $40 coffees in the morning...

At least you've got a fighting chance. There's been times where I've gotten multiple of the premium drinks and only lost $20. In the end losing less than what I would have paid in cash.
