As has been stated many times on this and other boards, platinum pays, diamond doesn't.

No special code. Gold and Platinum pay resort fees. Diamond and 7 Star members do not.

What about reservations made before the change. I made a reservation back in May for an April trip and back then platinum players didn't have to pay a resort fee.

I think some people's reservations are grandfathered in but I'm not sure when the cutoff is. With that said, if you're gambling on one or two trips has made you platinum, you probably gamble enough to have your resort fees waived regardless.

If you're Platinum, yes you do, however, there are ways to offset that using you're rewards credits. Read the message board thoroughly.

This was a quote from an email I received a week before staying at Flamingo in November:

"Please be advised that with any new reservations that are made on or after Nov 10th, Platinum guests will be accessed resort fees at all Las Vegas properties for both comp’d and casino rated reservations. This will cover in-room internet for one device each day, admission for two to the fitness center each day and unlimited local phone calls. The cost will be $25+tax per night. You may use your Total Rewards Credits at the time of check out to settle your balance due."

If you made your reservation before then, you SHOULD be fine. They may try to charge you but if you are still platinum and booked before Nov. 10th, I would dispute it if they tried to charge you.

    Harrah's answers about resort fees

A Harrah's representative told me about the resort fees.

If, you booked a reservation prior to November 10, 2014 and you were or are Platinum no resort fees.
If, you are Diamond or above there will be no resort fees as of now.
