I enjoy swimming, not just standing around in the pool. But I've stayed at pretty much every nice hotel on the strip and never saw any that had lap pools or pool you could really swim in (they're all like only 4 feet deep and people are just wading all over the place).

Do any have lap pools or at least deeper pools that I may have missed? If not on the strip, any nice hotel off-strip? I live in NYC so really only get a chance to swim when I travel!

There are only 2 remaining deep water pools on the Strip. At Bally's the deep end is 12'. The Riviera's deep end is 9'. Both are seasonal and are closed during the colder months.

Hotel pools constructed since the early 1990s have a maximum depth of 3.5'. I was told that it is because of insurance regulations covering swimming pools where alcohol is served or permitted.

If I recall correctly, (it's been several years) Excaibur has an area for lap swimming in the morning.

Swam laps at Wynn's incredible pools a few summers ago. A long narrow 80 -100 yard span connects both the topless and regular pools. Its wide enough for laps and plenty long. As its a Wynn property, everything and I mean everything is absolutely gorgeous! dreamy hotel with dreamy pool.
