I've been a long time supporter of CET properties for giving me comped or free rooms with little play.

This trip I set out to make a name for myself(or so I thought).

No matter how much I played($50-200/hand BJ, slots here & there) I received little-to-no rating or reward for my play.

No one at Harrah's has been the least bit accommodating with my minimal requests.

Meanwhile, Hooters offered me 2 free nights, $30 slot play, $10 match play and $15 F/B credit, which they doubled. Everyone at Hooters has been more than helpful, and for every issue I at least had an answer.

With Harrah's this has not been the case. I will be going back to giving CET next-to-no play for free rooms and spending my money elsewhere.

    Thanks for listening.

What do you mean? What did you ask for?

It'll take more than 5 minutes for that play to cycle through their system... I'm sure you'll get some good comped rooms for that level of play (even though it seems like you had already gotten them).

The average bet is one part of the formula.
The casino wants 4 hours play per day. What did you give them.

Disrespected should hardly be the title of this thread, How about renaming the thread to "Has my past-low rolling finally caught up to me?"

You tried to make a name for yourself? Why would you do that? In my world making a name for yourself costs money and in Vegas terms that means a lot of money and most of that money stays at the casino aka big loss.

I've always understood you play at the level you are most comfortable with and either slowly move your way up or just accept the comps you get at the level you play at. Looks like you gambled like a big baller, shot caller and got hijacked. No pity here...sorry.

I have to sort of agree but not throwing stones as my house is glass as well. But "quid pro quo" may be apt. Stay with Hooter's and sing their praises......rather than looking back at the negative.....it won't be long until CET is begging you to return......possibly...good luck!

What are you looking for? It sounds like you already get free rooms. Some Freeplay and food credit? If so, try MLife as they give that out much easier than CET.

I think this board has a high percentage of high rollers and it might be altering your perspective on comps. I read somewhere that 90% of Vegas visitors gamble $100/day or less. My gambling budget is to lose roughly $150/day for a week. I've never received a free room. Think about that. I'm top 10% (assuming the article I read is correct), and I've only ever gotten reward credits. You (and me especially) are probably a decimal point and a few hours/day off on what your gambling needs to be for a free room.

Without more detail (hours/day, what kind of comps you were asking for, etc.) it’s impossible for us to be able to say whether you were “disrespected” or comped appropriately. But here are a few thoughts:

Credits from table games are often slow to hit the computers. If you play for a few hours and then immediately go to the TR desk asking for a comp, the odds are good that they don’t have all – or any – of your play in the system. I don’t know if this applies to you, but it is something to keep in mind.

CET, I think, has spoiled us with their easy-to-get free rooms. I think that sometimes people (myself included) think, “if I’m playing $X and getting free rooms at Bally’s, then if I play $2X I’ll get free rooms and RFB at CP”. Unfortunately, the difference between getting free rooms at low and mid level CET hotels and getting those rooms, plus extras (f/b, promo chips, etc.) is actually quite large.

With the fortunes of Vegas improving of late, comps are getting harder to come by. As occupancy rates and ADR improve and clubs and restaurants fill, casinos have less of an incentive to offer us an incentive. So what might have got you RFL a few years ago is only going to get you a room and perhaps a pittance of f&b today.

The days of casino employees having the ability to decide that you’ve “played enough” to get a meal comp (or whatever) are pretty much over. Unless you have a host, you’re going to get what the computer says you get. And even with a host, you need to be dropping big bucks in order to go beyond what the algorithms say you “deserve”.

As has been mentioned, one “high play” trip isn’t necessarily going to improve your offers considerably. If you have four or five low rolling trips that are still on CET’s radar, the one big trip is only going to raise your averages so much.

    Just my two cents.

As others have said, we need to know specifics but to me off hand it doesn't sound like you were disrespected unless you put in time. Try Mlife? Green chip play at MC

Sounds more like you disrespected them. You admit they gave you free rooms for low play but hey if you'd rather stay and play at Hooters then have at her!

Ya know, considering all the "no pity" responses, I still appreciate that just about all of them have given a reason. Apparently my sessions were too short(usually less than 1hr). I assumed that taking a chance with a bigger bankroll would perhaps get more attention. I was wrong; all it did was create bigger swings. It's back to the $15 games for me, I suppose.

As for my room comps it was 5 nights comped using mine and my girlfriends card to book.

At least you guys gave me attention, even if it was to call me a crybaby!

    :)

I'm still curious, in your first post you said no one at Harrahs was accomodating with your minimal requests. What did you ask for that they denied?

I wanted the other nights comped and ya know, maybe some food taken off the room.. Wasn't asking for the world, but I guess asking for anything more than I had up front was too much!

LOL, at least you are a good sport about it :) I am Diamond and always have my room comped at Caesars and any incidental charges removed at checkout but last August the slots were brutal and did nothing but eat our money. The day before checkout I went to the hosts office to have our play reviewed as our host was on holidays. The girl didn't care how much money we'd lost, what she cared about was how much time we had spent playing.

Ah yeah, CET properties are better with upfront comps than MLife, but worse at comping off stuff at the end.

I still probably guess that you'll get some better offers down the line due to your increased play. But who really knows...

with all due respect at cet you where way over comped for ur play, u got 5 nites free , try getting that at milf it would cost u so much table play ur head would spin and u would need a host to do it.

ur 5 nites have a value that u first have to play off and at ur level u came know here paying it off.,just rough value u prabaly had around close to 400.00 in hotel comp value just to start with, then cet uses rc credit for anything after.. ur expectatins are way to high as they gave u the room and give rooms out way to easy for basicaly no play thats the big problem.

i think u disrepected them have fun at hooters or where ever else u can get 5 nites free for basicaly no play
