Just curious if anyone else has tried asking for a discount at the ticket office with no coupon or other offer.

When I bought tickets for Peepshow last week I ask the lady at the ticket desk at PH what the cost for tickets is, she states the standard ticket prices $66 and up. Then I asked what I could "really" get the tickets for and she said "Well there is a 2 for 1 on the $76 tickets."

Total cost per ticket end up around $40.75, which was about $8-9 cheaper than the discount ticket booths were offering.

None the less it may be worth asking.

This works much better in person than over the phone, which makes it hard to book in advance.

Yeah, I've been told of discounts offered only at the box offices...
they're not advertised, you need to ask. CIRQUE Shows for the
most part, but it can happen at any of the box offices...ASK.

I'll make a habit of asking last minute at the Orleans.
We went once, arriving almost late. I asked if we could use the 2 for 1 coupon I had.
"JUst a minute," the guy said. "I may have a deal for you."
In a couple minutes he just gave us two free tickets and great seats too.

At Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun there are free tickets sent out to regular players and usually someone is trying to scalp them. I've seen the Italian Show and Johnny Mathis Christmas show there for only a few dollars buy finding folks with tickets they were getting rid of. The Mathis seats were in the center and 8 rows in.
