Will be seeing John Fogerty in Sept. Thought having dinner before would be a good idea but want to be comfortable and it will be warm so nice shorts and shirts will be in order. Never have been for food before so give me some options.I like all kinds of food.

You'll be okay just about anywhere. We once ate dinner at Table 10 while dressed for Jimmy Buffett. Might not have tried it at Delmonico.

Yea, Vegas for the most part is pretty casual. Some of the high end places might not be so welcome.

But, where somebody might have a rule, they have a rule. Meaning... there is not a "reason" that waives the rule. After all, pretty much anyone wearing shorts, or flip flogs, or t-shirts has a "reason"- LOL!

Make some suggestions as I've never been there to eat. I like Steak, seafood, asian. Don't care about price. Good drinks and food.

Carnevino is probably my favorite steak joint in Vegas. And it doubles as an Italian place if someone in your party isn't into steak. I assume you'd be fine in the bar area in shorts. I've seen some very casually dressed folks in there.

I also like Bouchon (French bistro). I know I've seen plenty of shorts in there for brunch - not sure about dinner though.

And if you're in the mood for pizza, Grimaldi's is my favorite place in Vegas. And it's a pizza place...plenty casual.

Canonita was good. Food was good and if you can get a seat next to the canal the atmosphere is pretty cool to watch the gandolas go by. We very much enjoyed Yardbird as well. Food was delicious!!!
