    Do you have status with Delta?

    If not, Google how to upgrade with Delta. It's stupid how complex they can make it to upgrade.

    You can also search the flyertalk forum for stuff, there is lots of tips/tricks and advice on there and the airlines are split out into their own specific forums.

    Cheapest fares are not usually eligible for an upgrade. If you aren't any Medallion level, you will be behind any of them who have requested upgrades.
