If you go to Vegas during the holiday do you decorate your room?

I am thinking a small Christmas tree for us.

What about you? Share pictures of how you decorate your room.

If it makes you happy, or you enjoy your holiday more, than go for it.

I sometimes have flowers delivered to my room for a special ocassion, for my birthday and some times for the holidays, even when it's a solo trip. I love the fragrance of white Asiatic lilies. Done it a few times. Whatever makes your trip that much more special. Some folks bring wine or beer to their rooms to have a mini bar. I love flowers, hence my VMB screen name. :) When the trip is over, I leave what is typically a nice vase for housekeeping with a cash tip.

That is nice! We usually decorate for birthdays etc. but traveling at Christmas is a first for us and I thought it would be fun.

Where do you order flowers from? I think that would be a nice touch.

I once stayed in a Four Queens room that had little rectangles of yellowed tape on the ceiling from someone who had decorated their room.

Then a couple years later I had the same room with the little rectangles of yellowed tape on the ceiling.

    That's all I got.

This is the kind of post, by the OP, that makes VMB so great. This would have never occurred to me but I like the idea. I spend the occasional X-Mas in Las Vegas, maybe next time I'll get some lights and hang them up. Great thread OP!!!:nworthy:

Most recently, for my 50th birthday last year (haven't done it this year), I used FTD -- www.ftd.com -- but I am actually looking this evening for the card from the LV florist that accompanied the flowers that FTD used. The benefits of FTD or 800 flowers is that if you are picky about what you want there is a wide range of options, including having candies, perfume, etc. accompany the flowers. The national chain then finds the local florist that can fill the order and you aren't searching through a bunch of LV florists.

I liked the arrangement I received for my birthday -- I even had a card accompany the flowers that said "Happy 50th Birthday to me!" LOL -- and figured next time I would just call the florist directly as it might be less expensive. I decided a few weeks ago that if I lost x number of pounds by my end of the year trip that I would have flowers delivered when I arrive at Caesars so I have flowers in my room a few days leading up to and through the beginning of the new year.

We haven't yet had the pleasure of being in Vegas for the Christmas season, but for the past +- 5 years, we've headed to the beach on Christmas Day after gifts are all done. Every year, we carry at least a string of lights to decorate the balcony and or room...It's a nice touch...Don't know why you wouldn't do the same thing for your Vegas vacation.... go for it.

I think this is a fun idea! I would think you could also pick up a small tree at Walgreens or CVS on the strip....
Another thought would be to order small tree from florist for delivery to your room.

That never even crossed my mind, but I kind of like it. Not that I'd go through the effort to do it, but it's an interesting idea.

I'm usually too busy gambling or running around to worry about decorating my hotel room but whatever turns you on and makes you feel good then go for it.

A couple strings of LED lights usually travel with us, along with a nightlight for the bathroom. You can clip the lights to stuff with little binder clips. Hardly takes up any room at all. We always do some sort of quick decorating no matter what time of year.

    Have fun.....good luck

One of my favorite Xmas memories from childhood was when we had a condo in Maui for the holiday. My mom brought a box of our favorite ornaments and we hung them with one string of lights from a little palm in the living room. It looked a bit like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but it was one of my favorites because it was so different.

And Flowers, I love that you sent yourself something for your 50th. I should do the same!
