when I finally score a big one in Vegas, I want one of these
Frank, think about at least a 997, not a 996.
This is what I am buying when I clean up on the tables in July
pffht 993 or GTFO...maybe a 964
hey I bleed Ford Blue like every other real American!
but if you're going big?
That is a cool ass video...I'll watch the whole thing tonight. Corners make me nervous lol...said by a true 1/4mi racer lol
don't get me wrong, I love the sound of a V8 or flat 6...but this thing sounds like the Devil is mad at you!
Just picked up a 991 Turbo S myself.
Being delivered tomorrow!
Are 996's and newer still considered Porsches?
Don't get me wrong, newer 911's are excellent. But although they are technologically advanced and better performers, there is just something about an old air cooled Porsche that just seems right.
No they're the Camry of Porsches, lol
Ouch. But for real, the 991's electric power steering just takes so much away from the pureness of the drive.
If I were to have a Porsche at this point it would be a 964 Turbo.
As some one who has had a 1984 Carrera (just after the 911 SC's), and a 993 and a 997 C4S I understand the purists view of the old air cooled.
I also lived with the laughable so called AC system, and other hopped up VW anachronisms.
The newer years are real cars not antiques. No oversteer, no other subjective anomolies.
A 991 Turbo S is super car shit.
Is that a Mid 90's?
I've got my eye on a 74/75 911...for smog reasons (Want to basically replace everything but the body; with parts from a new GT3 RS 911)
I was in Europe in 2013 and in Florence you could test drive this Ferrari if you had the dough.
110,000 euros for 10 mins
190,000 euros for 20 mins
250,000 euros for 30 mins
I'm confused. You could buy that car for less than that.
I gotta think he meant Lira, but even then?
Hmmm, maybe you are right. Or maybe they just put it out to show the car around but didn't really intend on someone test driving it. When I zoomed in on the sign, looks like euros with that C with the equals sign in it.
Lira hasn't been in use since around 1999 / 2000 when the Euro came into use
I thought of the old Drachmas, since they may be coming back. Much to bond holder dismay.
like Germany is really going to throw more money at Greece?
Separate names with a comma.
