    My Trip Report

Will be in Vegas for a little over a week...

2/27 - 3/3 I'll be playing in the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at Caesar's Palace, and staying next door at Mirage tower suite.

3/3 - 3/7 I'll be attending a conference for work, and will be staying at Aria Sky Suites with some coworkers.

My flight takes off in about 4 hours - getting my thread started and will report back once I am checked in and get my tablet online.

Hoping to get a lot of pics and report detail in here, especially for the World Series tournament. Should also have some good restaurant reviews as we've picked out some interesting places to eat each night we're out here.

I arrive tonight and start playing a long day tomorrow in the WSOP tournament, so I had asked about my concern about quickly adjusting to the time zone change.

I spent the last few nights going to bed later, last night going to bed around 4am EST, hoping to ease the adjustment and let me sleep in tomorrow morning in Vegas, as I will need to stay up late in Vegas tomorrow. Typically when I land by 8pm Vegas time (11pm at home), I'm ready to crash my first night.

I feel good, lots of energy, if I can stay up til 12a or 1a Vegas time tonight, I'll be in good shape from a sleep/energy perspective.

Thanks guys.... the tournament has two "Day 1" entry days - 1a is tomorrow/Friday, and 1b is Saturday. I am going to enter tomorrow and hope I can stay in the game, so I don't also have to buy in 1b. Sunday is "day 2" and if I get 6-7 hrs into Sunday I will be near the cash (top 10%)... they play Sunday til they get the final table (final 9), then play out the final table on Monday.

Just landed and got checked in at Mirage (first time here). Will be here thru Sunday, at which point I move over to Aria to spend the week for the conference. If I do good at this tournament I will miss the first day of the conference (don't tell my boss).

Will post some pics of the room later, I want to get a shower and go play!!

Finally got pics resized and attached, see above post. This is a tower suite in Mirage, where I will be until Sunday.

Checked into hotel last night, took a shower to refresh after the long flight... walked next door to Caesars Palace to register for the tournament, and came back to Mirage to play some craps. Played the Don't Pass and Don't Come on a $25 table, and finished up about $200 after an hour.

From there I went back to the room and ordered room service to have a bite before passing out.

I am on a mission to find breakfast, then I'll get some morning dice in before getting started in the poker tournament (noon Vegas time).

More updates tonight or tomorrow - will try to get some poker tournament pics too.

I'm sitting in the food court at Caesars Palace right now, waiting for the place with the lobster chowder to open. Read good things about it on here (never knew it existed before I read the thread about it here). There's already a line forming at the place. Nothing else in here has a line.

I busted early today, 3 big hands took me out.

    1) My AA lost to villain's QQ when he peeled a Q off the flop. -6000
    2) I flopped broadway and villain goes runner runner to catch flush. -8000
    3) All in short stacked with AK, gets called by JJ, and I don't improve. -the rest of it

I will re-enter tomorrow (Day 1b) and take another shot. Hope to get some pics to share tomorrow. Never felt comfortable enough to stand up and snap a few pics today during the tourney.

Tonight's plan - cash game poker at Encore, dinner at Sinatra, and welcome one of my coworkers joining me early.
